Nope. He wasn't great until he won titles while elevating the level of Scottie and Horace's play. He didnt' feel like elevating people to championship level play until then. :mjpls:
I know right? Forget that he was the scoring champ, steals leader, league MVP, defensive player of the year, and allstar MVP.
Because according to respected sports analysts, great players that play on great teams and win rings are inherently better than great players that play on not so great teams and don't win rings.

If I beat you in a street race, it would prove I am a better driver than you. If you pointed out that I was in a race car and you were in a Dodge Colt, you'd just be hating. Relevant details have no place in these kinds of sports arguments for some reason.
So where would you personally rank Lebron right now?

It's a good question. I don't really know where he ranks among the all-time players but wherever it is, it makes no sense for it to be any higher or lower than he was ranked yesterday.

Championships look good on the resume but LeBron didn't suddenly become a greater player in the last 24 hours. With or without championships, he's doing things on the court that few players have ever done.

The best win under the right circumstances. Did you not comprehend my Jordan point? Was he not te best individual player in the NBA before he won his 1st ring?

It depends on what you mean by the best. He was clearly the most exciting. The most gunningest. ec. But Magic & Bird were better. They had better teams than Jordan but they were also better players.

Were they winning because they were better players or were they better players because they were winning?

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
I'm shocked to see this from you.

I think he is in the top 5 already, hell Jordan won 3 and was considered the GOAT after his first "retirement"

I have too much respect for the players I have in the top 10 to put Bron in there among them right now. He would be the only player in the top 10 with 1 championship, when Jordan retired the first time like you said, he had 3. I love Bron's game, and he's arguably the most talented player I have ever seen, but I'll let him fill out his resume just a bit more before I say top 10 since that is a career + talent ranking more than it is just outright talent.

If he stays healthy there's no doubt he'll be top 5, with a chance at being better than MJ if his team can go on a run right now.

I'm going to get a little off track here, but considering the team aspect of win championships that you always talk about, I don't want this to come of salty or hater-ish, don't we have take Lebron's teammates into consideration when trying to rank him? Especially considering what happened BEFORE he had these teammates.

Before he had these teammates he made it to the finals and was a 2x MVP.

Nobody is winning a title with Mo Williams as their number 2, he's now a bench player 2 years removed.

I think you absolutely have to look at that. That's why I've never seen how people think they can use ring count as any kind of measure to look at one player vs. another. No two players have had truly comparable situations. There is no accurate way to combine like terms because even if two players have had similar supporting casts throughout their careers, the paths to the finals and/or level of competition is likely dissimilar.

He's better than Oscar.

See, here is my problem with that. With the championship I would agree, but if Bilz point is that players are as good as they are without championships, I don't know if he is better than Big O. MVP's aside, it's pretty damned impressive to average a triple double. To me, for at least that 1 year at LEAST, Big O was Lebron on the clear.
