Bron will never be better than Jordan. Ever.

One......Jordan would've died before averaging 17ppg in a Finals Series.

Two.......Jordan would've died before getting swept in a Finals Series.

Three......6-0 > 1-3

Four........two 3-peats :myman:

How about letting Bron catch Kobe first..........At best, Bron can catch #24 if he adds 3 more rings while getting 3 Finals MVPs to match. Though Kobe would have 5, if Bron did that, id have to be real about it & concede :manny:

:gladbron: It's funny watching Kobestans defending Jordan against LeBron and unknowingly bodying all of their Kobe>Jordan hypothesis while doing so. When people defended Jordan against Kobe, they were labeled as Jordan stans. So what is it now? Just life imitating art? :youngsabo:

You guys are so disrespectful to the greats of the game! LeBron has the POTENTIAL to be top 10, but some of you cats are going over board. He can't stand next to the greats in the top 15 when u can't really separate yourself from your contemporaries. He has one title and one Finals MVP just like Billups. One scoring title while KD already notched 3. Rondo has more playoff triple doubles. His MVP season this year is basically MJ's rookie numbers. He looks the part, and any fan with an ounce of knowledge knows that hes well on his way, but as of right now, he's nowhere near top 10....

You're right and wrong. The problem is people see Jordan as the bar. Jordan didn't start winning until the league was basically wasteland. Michael Jordan of the 90's wasn't any better than Michael Jordan of the 80's. The seperation of Jordan and his contemporaries is that when he was winning he didn't have anyone of that magnitude playing in his era. LeBron is like Young Jordan playing in a league with an abundance of talented players so it's hard for him to seperate from them. That however does not diminish LeBron's greatness.

This. MJ won't be topped by Lebron barring a miracle stretch and honestly Kobe wasn't even a starter his first 2 years and still broke all the youngest player to reach * records...was averaging 28,6,5 in those last 2 playoff runs with Shaq (in which people called him a "sidekick") and lead his own team to repeat rings without running for help. Lebron is top 12 to me but he he's a couple of rings away from catching 24, people need to stop letting stats determine shyt especially when talking about GOATs.

Wilt is ranked higher than Shaq, even though he has a much worse finals record. If the Heat peel off titles in the next few years there will be Jordan comparisons.

Also, why would LeBron need 3 finals MVPs to match Kobe? When Kobe himself only has 2....

What hurts Kobe's argument is the lack of MVPs. When he was the best in league his teammates sucked.

talent wise, Bron is top 5. he's a once in a generation player. all he needs to do is win more to validate the hype. funny thing is, i remember some of these same nikkas on here :comeon: even after Kobe won 5 but, ready to anoint Bron after 1.

Today is Bron's day :win:

But let's keep shyt in perspective.

This why I don't hold regular season MVPs in high regard. Nash robbed Shaq and then Kobe in consecutive years. Jordan could have honestly got the award like 10 times.

MVP's are rarely anything more than a likability contest or the flavor of the month, it's very rarely about who is actually the best player. See Nash's MVP's.

Take away the winning and Mike still stood out from his contemporaries. This isn't about MJ. He stands alone. I'm speaking on Bron being thrust above the likes of the all time assist and steals leader for instance, because he looks the part. I have no reason to believe Bron can't get there...but as of today....nope!

If Kobe had won the MVP in 06 and 07. Lebron probably would never be able to catch Kobe's career, but he didn't. So passing Kobe is not impossible for Lebron.

Or if Kobe never played with Shaq. He would have had a team built around him much earlier. Would have won numerous scoring titles, MVPs and would have won rings as the man before 09.

Looking back at it playing with Shaq hurt Kobe's career more than it helped.

:rudy:

Lebron has a better career totals and averages than Kobe. He also has more awards.

Lebron realistically only needs 2 more rings with Finals MVPs to pass Kobe.

3 rings, 3 FMVPs, and 3 MVPS > Kobe's career. Or its on par with Kobe's.

Lebron will likely end up with 2 more MVPs.

3 rings, 3FMVPs, 5 MVPs>>>>>>> Kobe's career.

That's a lot to ask though.

Do I need to up the Finals numbers again?

You know the ones you didn't reply to last time :comeon:

Bron doesn't have to win 3 more to catch Kobe

But I'm laughing at these guys who are acting like prime kobe wouldn't have 2 rings with Miami already

check the answer to Malta. same reason.

This. You know how it goes bruh...different rules for different players.

In 2010: Kobe will never be MJ. Jordan never lost in the Finals :pacspit:
In 2012: Well.......if Bron can go on a run now, he'll be better than Jordan :lolbron:

Wilt is ranked higher than Shaq, even though he has a much worse finals record. If the Heat peel off titles in the next few years there will be Jordan comparisons.

Also, why would LeBron need 3 finals MVPs to match Kobe? When Kobe himself only has 2....

Kobe has 5 rings but, only 2 Finals MVPs

If Bron got 3 or 4 rings & 3 Finals MVPs, I'd put him over Kobe for being "the man" more times, eventhough Kobe won more.
