I'm going to get a little off track here, but considering the team aspect of win championships that you always talk about, I don't want this to come of salty or hater-ish, don't we have take Lebron's teammates into consideration when trying to rank him? Especially considering what happened BEFORE he had these teammates.

:comeon: If they had won last year with him playing the way he did then you would have a point. However Wade was nowhere near the Wade we have come to know and Bosh was injured for half the playoffs. This nikka put up 30, 10, and 5 for the entire playoffs and played every position on defense. It's a good thing that he had those teammates so that yet another great effort wouldnt' be wasted.

You would think that Magic, Bird, Mike, Kobe etc didnt' run with HOFers or something the way people keep pushing this teammates shyt.

He still not in top 25. Yall gonna put in him in top 10 for beating an injured knicks (3 injured starters) , Superstarless Pacers, and getting lucky that rose and D12 got hurt
How in the world is Lebron not in the top 25? Are you retarded?

3 Finals Appearances
NBA Champion (2012)
NBA Finals MVP (2012)
3× NBA Most Valuable Player (2009–2010, 2012)
8× NBA All-Star (2005–2012)
NBA scoring champion (2008)
6× All-NBA First Team (2006, 2008–2012)
2× All-NBA Second Team (2005, 2007)
4× NBA All-Defensive First Team (2009–2012)

Career averages of 27.6/7.2/6.9

Career totals 4943 Rebounds 4751 Assits 19045 Points

Do you know how fukking insane that is? Dude accomplished all of that at age 27. Now compare that to someone like Charles Barkley who is EASILY in the top 20. Lebron's career>>>>> Barkley's.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
See, here is my problem with that. With the championship I would agree, but if Bilz point is that players are as good as they are without championships, I don't know if he is better than Big O. MVP's aside, it's pretty damned impressive to average a triple double. To me, for at least that 1 year at LEAST, Big O was Lebron on the clear.

Oscar won his first and only title as Lew Alcindor's number 2, he was never the defender LeBron is, and was never the clear cut best player in the league at any time.

:what:
You aren't taking into consideration the level of competition that they played against and the eras they played in.

Oscar isn't averaging a triple double in this era.

Wilt isn't averaging 50/40 in this era.

Its all about context.

Before he had these teammates he made it to the finals and was a 2x MVP.

:shaq2:

Nobody is winning a title with Mo Williams as their number 2, he's now a bench player 2 years removed.

We already had the discussion about the expectations of the 2010 team with Shaq and Jamison. Like it or not they were favorites to win the championship by a lot of people.

The thing with comparing players across eras is there is no clean way to do it. Do you measure them by how much they stood out from their competition? Or do you try to combine like terms and imagine what one player would be doing in the other player's era? Either way is problematic.

To expand on my point about championships, what if LeBron had traded his entire supporting cast for Wade and Bosh 5 years ago? Would his resume and ring count look different now? I contend that it probably would. But if we're letting typical ring talk debate decide all of it, he'd have one ring right now no matter who his teammates were over his career. That's the major issue I have with that kind of logic.

Hold up what? It's easier for Big O to get a triple double in the era than it is for Wilt to average 40 or 50. In the era of shoot first guards Wilt would be lucky to get 30 a night.

You guys are so disrespectful to the greats of the game! LeBron has the POTENTIAL to be top 10, but some of you cats are going over board. He can't stand next to the greats in the top 15 when u can't really separate yourself from your contemporaries. He has one title and one Finals MVP just like Billups. One scoring title while KD already notched 3. Rondo has more playoff triple doubles. His MVP season this year is basically MJ's rookie numbers. He looks the part, and any fan with an ounce of knowledge knows that hes well on his way, but as of right now, he's nowhere near top 10....

I meant to say Wilt isn't averaging 50/40 in this era. :laff:

nikkas from that era would be scrubs in this era. They dominated leagues that were majority white.

The players in this era are much better.

I have too much respect for the players I have in the top 10 to put Bron in there among them right now. He would be the only player in the top 10 with 1 championship, when Jordan retired the first time like you said, he had 3. I love Bron's game, and he's arguably the most talented player I have ever seen, but I'll let him fill out his resume just a bit more before I say top 10 since that is a career + talent ranking more than it is just outright talent.

If he stays healthy there's no doubt he'll be top 5, with a chance at being better than MJ if his team can go on a run right now.

Bron will never be better than Jordan. Ever.

One......Jordan would've died before averaging 17ppg in a Finals Series.

Two.......Jordan would've died before getting swept in a Finals Series.

Three......6-0 > 1-3

Four........two 3-peats :myman:

How about letting Bron catch Kobe first..........At best, Bron can catch #24 if he adds 3 more rings while getting 3 Finals MVPs to match. Though Kobe would have 5, if Bron did that, id have to be real about it & concede :manny:

:rudy:

Lebron has a better career totals and averages than Kobe. He also has more awards.

Lebron realistically only needs 2 more rings with Finals MVPs to pass Kobe.

3 rings, 3 FMVPs, and 3 MVPS > Kobe's career. Or its on par with Kobe's.

Lebron will likely end up with 2 more MVPs.

3 rings, 3FMVPs, 5 MVPs>>>>>>> Kobe's career.

That's a lot to ask though.

Bron doesn't have to win 3 more to catch Kobe

But I'm laughing at these guys who are acting like prime kobe wouldn't have 2 rings with Miami already
