I'm not saying the 90s were devoid of talent.

that's a bit :skip:

but Mike has gone on record saying he felt cheated that by the time Chicago came into their own, BOS & LA was old & breaking down.

But that quote would imply that he's confident that his prime Chicago team would have knocked off prime Boston and LA teams. I don't think it necessarily implies that the competition he did face was weak. I think it just says he wishes he could have got better revenge on the teams that were beating him early on.

It depends on what you mean by the best. He was clearly the most exciting. The most gunningest. ec. But Magic & Bird were better. They had better teams than Jordan but they were also better players.
Neither Magic nor Bird were better individual players than Mike was in '88-90. If you think that Bird and Magic were better than Mike during those years then you just feel that they were better players period. Mike wasn't a better player in '91 than he was in '88-90, the team around him was better.

Yeah, its not fair to compare a starter to a bench player.

not when you want to include stats, rings & awards in your criteria.....fukkboy :what:.......you know things you can only attain playing more than 7 mins a game.

you the kind of moron to compare Bron at 27 to Jordan at 27 fully knowing Bron had an extra 3 seasons to get it done.

No it doesn't. You're reaching. Competitors are natually salty toward anyone who has beaten them before. I wouldn't take it as anything more than that unless he explicity clarified otherwise.

It's the same principle why a lot of Lakers fans wanted to face the Mavericks in the playoffs this year. It wasn't because they wanted the toughest competition, it was because they wanted revenge.

It's a good question. I don't really know where he ranks among the all-time players but wherever it is, it makes no sense for it to be any higher or lower than he was ranked yesterday.

Championships look good on the resume but LeBron didn't suddenly become a greater player in the last 24 hours. With or without championships, he's doing things on the court that few players have ever done.
I can respect that and I pretty much agree. Lebron is the 2nd of 3rd best player I've had the pleasure of watching.

It's one thing to compare nikkas at the same age when nikkas have a different numbers or years played like you said. However Kobe and Bron came in at the similar ages. Bron was 18 when he started and Kobe 18 when he started. nikkas don't get extra points or consideration because they weren't good enough to start out the gate. Imagine if Kobe went to 17 win squad and was asked to start at PG as a rookie.. No hate for Kobe either but bulshyt plea coppin is bullshyt plea coppin.

Kobe has 7 years in the league over Lebron.

Its not fair to compare Kobe's full career to Lebron.

Saying he felt cheated from not meeting up with Boston or LA is saying he considered them the best competition & test of his talents. If he considered someone else better competition that could only mean he didn't consider what he faced the best competition.

Good lord :snoop:

His highights stood out. He wasn't the clearcut best player until the league was devoid of talent. LeBron should not be penalized for playing in a talented era. You're really going to say he isn't better than John Stockton?

Your NBA knowledge is terrible. You do know in the entire history of the game: 4 outta the top 10 scorers (not counting MJ, so in retrospect half of the top 10); 8/10 in assists; 7/10 (not counting Mj) in steals; and 8/10 in blocks all came from this "devoid of talent" era. The majority of the best this game has ever seen shared a floor with MJ at sometime in their career. Stop throwing dirt on MJ to prop Bron up.

Then don't :beli: Compare the amount of full seasons Bron has played

LeBron: 9 full seasons
1 Ring

Kobe: 9 full seasons
3 Rings

Jordan: 9 full seasons
3 Rings
