If you think that Bird and Magic were better than Mike during those years then you just feel that they were better players period. Ive said nothing about Mike being the greatest ever. I'm speaking about him being the best player in the NBA for a specific time period, '88-90. I'm saying that Mike was a better individual player than Magic or Bird, and the only thing you have to counter that is the fact that Magic and Bird were on better teams.

Michael Jordan was never the clearcut best player until the league was devoid of talent. This is fact, not opinion. Magic and Bird had better teams thats true, but they were also seen as the apex of players Jordan was in that discussion but it was said he could not be the best until he won. Yes, he beat Magic and Magic soon retired and Bird had injuries. This is not a knock on Jordan. But once Magic and Bird left who was the real competition? The guys you name were not in thgat discussion eventhough they were in the league already.

It pains me, but I can't agree with this, the version of Bron we just saw in the playoffs this year was better than any Kobe. Also, this might be the start of LeBron's peak as a player.

I started to question if he was ever going to win a title, even thought the wiring was messed up, but that was an absolutely monstrous playoff run and is considerably better than any run Kobe went on in the playoffs.

Kobe was never the playmaker that Lebron is, he's never been the leader that Lebron currently is, and he's never been the defender/rebounder that Lebron currently is. The only advantage I'd give Kobe over this current Lebron is in jump shooting.
