Was I the only person who used to think only the PPVs were real 
When WCW/NWA came to my town and had an event. I couldn't have been anymore than 9 at the most. But after seeing Stunning Steve Austin lose a match and then to see him and the wrestler who beat him have a convo minutes later down a hallway just took away all the fun away from me. And I have never looked at it the same since. Like when cats be arguing about who is gonna win a match and they talk like it's real I just couldn't get into it like that anymore. Especially when 99 percent of the time you can predict who is gonna win.
The Robocop shyt solidified it...
My uncles were cool about it cause they were into wrestling, my brother too... but my sister just hated it so she always used to say how phony it was and I'd be
like she was just tryin' to bullshyt me.
But then they'd have the wrestlers on Arsenio and shyt like that, and I'd start to think "ehh, there's somethin' not real about that". But then, the Robocop shyt happened in WCW with Sting and them... just like homie said about Chucky- I either had to believe Robocop was real or wrestling was fake... and Robocop being real was just a ridiculous fukkin' idea.
But then, I'd think everything was fake, even when people would be legit injured. I'd think they were just going on vacation or some shyt, when most of the time it was for real- just not the way it was explained on TV.

2. when the giant debuted in wcw..they had him come out as a mummy or some shyt if i remember right
edit; giant wasnt the mummy...the fukkkkk..either way that mummy ruined shyt for me..it was Reese from the Flock lmao

I was a little kid and saw faces and heels eating breakfast at dennys together. I was scared as fukk tellin my mom some shyt was about to pop off while i,was hiding under the table. Then I saw big bossman telling tito santana a joke and brooklyn brawler had on a clean shirt. My mind was blown... Also I found out that day that mr. perfect was a nice guy and yokozuna spoke english. Even then, being as scared as I was, all them nikkas autographed a shirt for me. My tiny negro mind couldn't process it until I saw prime time or raw(whichever one it was at the time) that next week and them nikkas was cuttin promos hating each other again.

I mean, like every fan you always hear shyt from other people that it's fake.. but the outlandish shyt never made me question it. Early in to the attitude era I became aware of behind the scenes shyt through a free yellow pages hotline that would tell you about upcoming debuts or plans for feuds... and then from there as I used the internet more and more I became a full fledged smark through forums and shyt like that.

Kind of a similar story I had was the time I met Bret Hart before a house show, and that night Bret was gonna face The Undertaker in the main event.. as I was meeting him about to get my picture taking with him I had on an Undertaker T-Shirt.. and I remember thinking "Oh man.. what's he going to say when he sees I'm an Undertaker fan." So i ended up making sure my jacket was all the way zipped up.. cause I thought for sure he would've taken offense to me being a fan of the guy he was wrestling that night.
When Vince said himself in some TV interview that it was fake.

3. Foe jumps Hogan or Hogan jumps foe on some heel shyt
4. they wrestle at PPV. Hoegan gets upperhand early. Foe beats on Hogan for 45 minutes. Hogan "hulks up", wins with a fukking BIG BOOT and a LEGDROP.
5. Either NEW foe attacks while Hogan is celebrating at the end of match, or while Hogan is celebrating the next day.
6. Repeat. This went on for THIRTY YEARS!?

Yea hogans run last run in wwf did it for me, I used to be like how this nikka always win with that bullshyt leg drop. I could clearly see his opponents were better wrestlers than him, but this nikka would not lose..
