Well in retrospect it was over when they shytted on sting at starrcade 97 and keep the NWO alive.

But in real time back then I knew it was going down around the time Leno and rodman showed up. This was after Goldberg won the belt and was red hot. But he was second fiddle in battle royals or wrestling busted back curt henning. Meanwhile Austin/Taker was in a fire feud with rock/hhh right underneath. I knew WCW was done then

When 9/10ths of the roster was in the NWO, NWO was a great idea... it just got to big... should've been hall, Nash, hogan, and a couple others... but you had 13 versions of the NWO each week demanding attention.

Bischoff even said he let the egos take control of everything instead of him being the boss like Vince... they hemorrhaged so much money on stupid shyt like the Kiss Demon... then you had the huge buildup for Glacier... and he flopped worse than the titanic. You turned Mike Awesome into a fat chick banging, school bus driving hippie. You held your talent back... it was the same 5 people fighting for each title... nobody ever moved up or down, you also had mike tenay with a raging hardon for the Luchadors

Stopped tuning out around the taser to end Goldbergs streak. I don't even think I was mad at that then WWF was just a better watch.

On the flip side, anyone get the impression that WWE was doing as bad as they were in 94-96? Young me had no ideal, I assumed the company was doing amazing..

Same here, but looking back on it now it does get :scust: when you know the likes of King Mable are getting Championship Pushes:russ: and Bret is getting into feuds wit Dr Kane Yankem and Kang Lawler:heh:

The Shawn Michaels Championship run I mean:yeshrug: it wasnt too bad imho,if him and Bret didnt let them Egos get Major coming up to 96-97 then that Rivalry along with the rise of The Rock & Austin etc probably wouldve really gave the WWF some life sooner..

.as for the WCW I watched a lil bit of it when I saw Hall & Nash along with Syxx in it but I was still Team WWF despite the fukkery,I wasnt gonna miss Shotgun Saturday:boss:plus I got The Network to take to what I missed on Nitro, plus knowing how much nWo beatdowns you got each week and on PPVs had to get :shaq2:[/QUOTE]

To me these were some of the biggest fuccery that I remember.

- macho man winning the title against sting only to lose the belt the next day on nitro.
- ultimate warrior making the own was one of the most corniest things I ever seen.
- finger poke ( this shyt was complete :trash: escpecially since Nash won world war 3 on some killer shyt. then he ends goldbergs streak just to give hogan the championship that shyt was a complete waste.
- them completely ignoring and not making it a bigger thing that Bret was the one who injured and destroyed many legends in that time. He was on some legend killer shyt but they just didn't capitalize on it properly. The storyline could've been huge.
- those celebrity tag matches (ddp)
