I was a kid so I couldn't say. But I remember ever damned week they would throw garbage at the nWo and it was lit. Then Sting won the belt. And then Hogan was champ again and forever.

Sadly the just couldn't get past Hogan and the nWo...:francis:

For me it began with Sting and Luger joining the nWo Wolfpac and that feud with nWo Hollywood going longer than it should have, Icing on the cake was the Finger Poke of Doom

If I was this age when it happened, I'd say at Starrcade because it showed how irresponsible management & the wrestlers were on the biggest ppv in their history.

Bischoff has alluded to it on his podcast, but supposedly Sting had some drug issues at that time that reared its head the day of the PPV.

When my aunt bought my brother and me an old copy of the WCW Mayhem game.

We watched only WWF and played only WWF games. We had a PlayStation and had Wrestmania, Warzone, and Attitude. I remember being in Barnes in Nobles all the time reading magazines about the new Smackdown game that was coming out by THQ. We ended up getting it and all the other Smackdowns too and the games were great.

But mysteriously, after we had already had 2 Smackdowns, our aunt got us that WCW Mayhem game. We just looked at each other like :mjtf::francis:

We played it. It was trash. Definitely worse than Smackdown 1 and 2. To memory it was worse than them Acclaim games Warzone and Attitude too. That WCW Mayhem game was supposed to get a sequel too. But, nope. That shyt got cancelled. That's when it was really over.

I enjoyed WCW until the end. There was a lot of good young talent that was getting a chance to shine in the dying days. I’ll never forget being absolutely shocked and devastated when I saw on the news that they were selling to WWE.

Sugar Shane Helms was about to revolutionize the Cruiserweight Division :francis:
