When did you first realise WCW was in decline?

I gave that damn company every chance in the world until they had David Arquette win their top championship :snoop:

You can bring up the Fingerpoke of Doom, the nWo membership overkill....most of the shyt mentioned in this thread was bad, but it was reversible. They could recover from most of those things.

How in the name of fukk do you recover from giving your top title to a forgettable D-list actor known for doing shytty movies?

Even if Dennis Rodman had somehow won the belt, it would have been bad but not THAT bad.....at least he was a damn athlete that was big in size :why:

Why David Arquette, of all fukking people? WHY? :snoop:

Russo HAD to be an agent sent by Vince to destroy that company; I don't care what anybody says

Summer of 98. WWE was becoming the more interesting product by then to me. i was Hogan'd out and didn't want to see Hall and Nash feud

WCW was flooded with talent but weren't really moving any of the mid card players up the card aside from Goldberg.

Look at their roster circa July/August of 1998 and tell me that same company goes under less than 3 years later, you wouldn't buy it if you didn't see it.

I don't know if I've already posted in here, but this. The WWF simply became more interesting, and I was tuning in less and less to WCW as time went by. Booker T, Benoit, Jericho, Saturn, DDP, Eddie, Rey, Steiner, and a couple others kept me watching, then half that list I just mentioned jumped to the WWF :dead:

Having watched WCW 98 over again in the last few months, they did some things wrong but it was a good, interesting show all year. In 99 they got too nonsensical and crash TV ish even before Russo, and the production looked worse.

I knew it was a wrap after Luger, Sting, and Macho Man who were humiliated and beaten by the NWO all of a sudden for no reason, join the NWO. Then Sting tried to be hip n wear baggy pants n shyt. It was BAD. Then u had Hulk Hogan running around with a t-shirt n jeans like Stone Cold....Horace Hogan gettin a push. Just BAD.
