There’s just too much focus on this. We can easily kill kamala on her policies and foul past history.
we can focus on her policies, but she did use her status as a "person of color" at the debates to both shut down reparations talk and to get at Biden about bussing/integration. Questioning her ethnicity is fair game, but too easy.

So Jamaicans aren't African? :heh:
the semantics game is why the "ADOS" terminology is being used now. Look at how yall are trying to loophole people into being "African-American". People keep wanting to compromise whatever term we use so that they can basically tap into our justice claims. Coleman Cruz Hughes said it himself. Calling himself "half-black" came with 'social-capital' when he was telling folks he was Puerto Rican he was getting nowhere. Kamala got so far being Indian-Jamaican, now when she's running for POTUS she needs to be AA so she can have foundation of beating the odds to argue from. Being a privileged child of accomplished immigrants would damn near be a negative for her.

But yeah the semantics game is getting old.

Her mom IS Indian and her father is mixed Indian and black Jamaican. This is what so many posters have been referring to. She is not even half black, only a quarter if even that.
well damn :mjlol:
doesn't change much to me tho, I wasn't interested in her as a candidate in the first place :unimpressed:
it all makes a little more sense now tho :russ:
