What was rewritten? If you're referring to having someone translate from one language to another, that's not the same thing.

who do you think King James was? Gods right hand man, some extremely holy figure? King James the man who surpervised the construction of the King James Bible, was one of the first to monopolise the slave trade :/

Again, define 'rewritten'. Authorizing scholars to translate text from one language to another doesn't equal it being 'rewritten.' Also, where is your proof he was involved in the slave trade?

slavery was there before and after king james. it was part of culture to practise slavery. when ignorance is part of culture you can't fault the ppl in it. kj was just another nicca in that area. or a king nicca. he wasn't no ordinary nicca. english ppl have their own pride and he decided the bible should be rewritten or translated for his ppl. doesn't make him great or holy. his english ppl can consider him great. but i dont see no nicca looking at him as anyone great. he didn't do anything for us. infact as far as writing his writers bit shakespeare. shakespeare was great in that he has some influence in how the bible was written.
black ppl on the other hand were have nothing to like about the bible. they stole some black diety and represented it as white or european.

i could argue that, but i'm not talking about "evidence", i'm talking about logic. There is an afterlife or there isn't. There's no proof that there ISN'T an afterlife. Its a stalemate no matter how you try to argue it away.

And none of that "burden of proof" crap, this isn't court, its a conversation. Its just as pointless to argue for as it is to argue against so why waste the energy arguing. I'm sure there are other things both groups can devote their attention to.
I'm talking logic too. There is zero logic or evidence to support the existence of an afterlife.

One can believe in an afterlife based on faith, but I took issue with you calling it a 50/50 thing because it isn't. One can throw out any conjecture, but it makes no sense to point to a scenario that has no evidence of occurrence and say it has a 50/50 chance of happening.

you missed my point. The argument itself is pointless. There are countless accounts of people who say they have seen the afterlife. Many people dismiss them as hallucinations or near-death illusions. But who's to say the after life isn't within our own minds...? You can't say that. No matter how "logical" you try to be about it.

Its just pointless to try and argue either way....you'll find out when you die. :manny:
