Y’all wanted him to be a corny ass cac from the 50’s. But this is the present. That’s not the case. shyt this is literally the 1st fight he has ever been in. His mom life was threaten. His emotions had to be on a million. His life is on the line.
You got a lot of excuses for him like this was real life. All that happened
cause the writers wrote it that way. If they put him in that situation then they better have a well written way to get him out. And if all they got is destruction porn then I'm not a fan. If all they got is letting him watch his dad get taken in a hurricane then I'm not a fan.
You can be a fan of that. That's fine.
The thing that made this character interesting to most was the god-like power but the immense restraint he still had. That's what makes the times when he finally does unleash much more powerful to watch. If he's just like that from the jump and every time then who cares? You gotta find some angle for that character and his ideals was the usual goto. Otherwise he's boring.
Why did nobody give a damn when Superman died in Batman v. Superman or when he got resurrected in the next movie? This is one of the biggest fictional characters in history. The Death of Superman made morning news in the 90s. Everybody just shrugged this time. But you just trying to see more explosions and punches so the rest of the audience are just geeks then right?
Since y’all want him to be 50’s type Superman. You have to learn somewhere. The next fight he more strategic and does everything to prevent any type of damage or deaths. But that’s some cartoony type corny shyt imo
