And its worse for children because the parents usually can't stand each other but still have to engage with one another

It's not a necessity to be married to bring kids into the world in a family structure. Some partners don't care about being recognized by the government. They communicate and get that understanding regardless.

So many people in here against marriage and and the nuculear family unit, when everyone knows it's the surest example of providng a child a stable uprbringing.

The way you guys defend single parenthood and baby mother/father relationships makes me believe none of you come from 2 married parent housholds. It's like you're trying to hide your own personal upbringing and justify the bullshyt your parents did.

I will say that some are misguided. Then, there's some who's relationship didn't work out. I agree that some women need o make better choices. TBH, I just ask myself, "Why lay on your back and the dude isn't strapped up ".

Don't try to twist this breh. You know exactly where I'm going with this. Most young people who just screw around aren't committed. There's commitment that you have to make when bringing a child into THIS world.

Man you really do need to be married or at the very least living with someone if you plan on having a kid. The weekend warrior shyt and sending a check is still very rough on the parent who actually has custody of the child. My wife was on maternity leave for 3 months with our son and I could tell it was a nightmare for her, and she had me coming home every day to pitch in and provide relief. I went out of town for work for 2 days and when i got back she looked at me with the level of happiness i havent seen since our wedding day.

Its my belief that it takes 3 people in the home to comfortably take care of a baby. 2 people just means its two people tired as hell but getting a little bit of shyt done.

it's crazy. You need a license or a permit or a test to do just about anything else in the world.

But bringing scared human life -- an entirely new, breathing and thinking, human being into this world, it doesn't matter what kind of person you are and how faulty of a parent you might be, you're always encouraged and supported to do so. Kids are like props.

The worst part about it is, that if you give or condone dysfunction-even by an inch-it will go take it a mile and beyond. The old school structure was set up so that it could prevent this from happening.
