I'm not necessarily disagreeing with the original post. However, some people do raise kids together without ever have gotten married. At the same time, what's the point of getting married if your family consists of just you and your spouse? Why do people get married after 10+ years in a relationship? Does it really take that long to figure out she's the one?

Getting married is a stronger symbol to stay commit and prove it to each other. That's my opinion.. However, I'm mainly touching on having kids while not married (mainly by being reckless with your penis).
