Steve Blake's current level of play is adding credibility to this theory. If he stays on this pace dude will be averaging around 10 assists per game (a career high).

he nearly made Raymond felton into an all-star.

had people on this board thinking felton was better than ty Lawson, and expected felton to start in Denver.

You've gotta be joking :aicmon:
Magic Johnson
John Stockton
Isiah Thomas
Gary Payton
Chris Paul
Jason Kidd
Lenny Wilkins
Tiny Archibald
Tim Hardaway
Walt Frazier
& a couple others I can't think of right now...............
Nash is one of the most overrated players in NBA history he is about the equivalent of Mark Price.
Get this thread :camby:

oh snap.

you beat me to the mark price comparison.

I was a mark price fan, btw. but still.

yet none of these players are multi-MVP point guards.

How does a 2x MVP not get mentioned in the top 5...you guys bringing up advanced stats and who shut down who on what day in a twinkle of your eyes...

talks about accolades, real world, consistency, prime point guard playing, unguardability - that is Steve Nash the 2nd best PG alive.

Nash is a very good PG but he's severely overrated by the NBA media. I wonder why?

I still don't think he should have won the 05 Season MVP.

Same reason why the media continually gave him a pass for his piss poor defense and tried to make excuses for it by saying he lead the league in charges taken.

Same reason why Dirk continually gets pass for not playing defense while Melo is constantly (and deservedly) criticized for not playing defense.

I remember some years back they polled NBA players about who they feel puts in the least amount of effort defensively, Nash and Dirk were at the top of the list.

Conspiracy? :pachaha: I'm just pointing out the obvious. The politics involved are just the typical American media.

I give him credit for being good but there are people here trying to put him above Isiah Thomas. That's not happening.

I would put slightly above Thomas and barely above Stockton and slightly below Magic Johnson. Now disregard his slow start in his career, once he got going no other PG could handle him. He shot 50% pretty much his entire career as starter and over 40% from 3. Not to mention the years of double digit assists...culminated by MVP award.

I really don't think enough homage is paid by your run and jump low iq basketball lovers, to those gritty, hard nosed, high iq players, especially a living/playing legend such as Steve Nash.

top 5 ever

1. Magic Johnson
2. Steve Nash
3. John Stockton
4. Isiah Thomas
5. Bob Cousy
How many rings did he lead his team to?

Magic is the only one who rivals his impact on offense and since I only care about offense from a PG, he's as good as any. Goat level shooter, facilitator, And a good scorer.

Every team he played on in his prime was GOAT level on offense
