:snoop: When will nikkas learn. You gotta treat these silly ass "journalists" the same way you treat a silly bytch. They thrive off attention, any attention, the same way silly hoes do. All you do by catchin' feeling and goin' off like that is give them more the attention that the crave, give them credibility, and make yourself look overly sensitive.

In no way am I defending :comeon: however Taylor as well as other athletes just gotta be smarter. This isn't the lunchroom. You are a grown ass man and there is no benefit to allowing the words of another grown ass men that is hundreds of miles away get you of your square. If they were face to face it would be one thing but even then there is no real benefit because getting his ass whooped by an athlete would only up :comeon:'s profile and allow him to play the martyr card and Taylor would have a case on his hands.

Jalen exposed them for being hyper-senstive bytches who can't take what they dish out with an exaggerated sense of their own importance. However people still tune in to the show, athletes and entertainers keep going on there, and nikkas keep responding to them. All that does is give them credibility and encouragement to continue with their bullshyt. Can't get mad at the attention whore when nikkas keep simpin for her. :manny:

I see a lot of posters dis SAS and :skip: but the truth is that they would fit right in here. I see a lot of the same over the top disrespectful trolling that their show is infamous for, right here.

They are educated, veteran "journalists". Half the nikkas on here are in high school...literally or maturity wise. :russ: The fact that there is a basis of comparison reflects poorly on them not anybody on here. It just like if you watch an NBA game and the level of play is comparable to the level of play at a pick up game around you way. That means something is wrong with those NBA players.

What's with this bullshyt notion that athletes are wrong for replying to criticism? In fact, what's with this bullshyt notion that athletes don't have the ability to do certain things in general because of their status? They're fukking people regardless of their tax bracket. If someone was slandering any of y'all, you would respond. It's human nature. These make believe rules some of y'all make up are laughable. "He should focus on playing football instead of responding to journalists". It took dude two minutes tops to write those tweets. Those two minutes won't spell doom for the Steelers 2012 season. He could've sent those tweets while taking a shyt. Some of y'all have never touched a ball in your lives so you run with notions about the psyche of athletes from journalists/"personalities" that have never touched a ball in their life. Coincidentally those two First Take fakkits frame a lot of their arguments over those same assumptions of athletes' psyches as opposed to what they can actually see.

If SAS wants to say his job is to critique players, then he needs to retract all that bullshyt journalism talk he was doing when Jalen Rose, Ryan Clark and Mark Cuban got in his ass. You're either a journalist or an entertainer. The two do not mix.

I should of been more specific his role is as a sports commentator he's like a columnist who regularly give they opinion on that show he's debating and giving is opinion why can't the players ignore it ? You also the one bringing up oh whopping his ass if he was face to face :dwillhuh: You making it seem like he's taking personal attacks at the guys family or something . I'm sure columnists in they city say worse hell if you choke they on the backpage of the paper making a play on your name bashing you .

The players want the fame and nicknames that come from the media but none of the negativity it's stupid . Show me some horribly offensive posts skip and Sas made on first take that makes them some fox new levels propaganda machines ?

Jornalism has nothing to do with First and Take or any of those debate styled shows on espn. That show is just about talking heads doing what talking heads do. I don't know why you're copping a plea but my point remains. I see a lot of people complain about skip and skip while displaying the same behavior.

I totally agree that they need to stop throwing up the journalism shield whenever somebody calls them on their bullshyt.

As far as responding goes, their simply is no benefit. :comeon: and :skip: are gonna talk their shyt from their bully pulpit for 10 hours a week regardless of what any athlete says. Responding to them only gives them more to talk about, creates more attention for them, and lends them a certain level of credibility. Like I said with the bytch analogy, you hurt them more by not responding then you do by giving them the attention that they are craving.

:heh: at you missing the part where I explicitly stated that players shouldn't pay them any attention but reading way too much into the face to face thing. Taylor is the one who made it out to be personal attacks and who took the offense to that level. My only point was that getting enraged from afar is pretty stupid because you can't really do anything about it. Seriously did you read my post?

No plea copping just calling it how it is as usual. Regardless of how you wanna spin it :comeon: and :skip: have a higher level or responsibility than a bunch of random nikkas on a message board. You are comparing the analysis of rich, award-winning journalists to cats that are in high school, college, and work in other fields and that reflects poorly on the latter? :what:

No, it's not journalism actually. And this here is the problem with sports journalism becoming a cash cow. True journalism has been b*stardized for so long that people genuinely believe trash like First Take is journalism.

It's not about benefit. It's about being a human being, having a problem with what someone says and responding. Critiquing Taylor's actual comments I have no problem with. Critiquing him for making the comments in the first place I have a problem with. Marc Cuban had a problem with Skip, went on the show and proceeded to break both of those dudes down with knowledgeable and logical arguments. In the process, he made Skip look like he knew nothing about the sport of basketball. That doesn't lend him credibility, it takes it away in the eyes of the knowledgeable viewer. The media is often referred to as the fourth estate or fourth branch. But here's the thing: the branches all have checks and balances so that they don't get too powerful. Who checks the media? It's the public's job to check the media.
