Steve and skip are not journalists on their show. The show has absolutely nothing to do with journalism. Neither of those guys were chosen for that show based on the careers in journalism. They were chosen because they're 2 over the top talking heads who can get people to tune in. Steve and skip are only expected to argue opinions with each other in an entertaining way that attracts viewers. That is all that they're expected to do on the show. They aren't held to any jornalistic standards on that show which is why skip gets away with acting like a clown. Why do you keep bringing up journalism? Why keep trying to make the invalid point that they're held to some kind of standard on that show? Skip embraces the nickname "diabolical hater" for goodness sake. Theyve came out and told you that skip and the show is a gimmick.

If what you do and say as a "journalist" is comparable to what nikkas on a message board do and say then something is wrong with you as a "journalist". Criticize and praise who you want as long as it is based in fact. However to go on crusades for and against guys based on how you feel is bullshyt regardless of who does it but it's even worse for guys how are quick to throw out the "journalist" card.




The last part is very true and very sad and I never denied that. However paid professionals have higher standards than the average person. You expect more from a person trained in a certain discipline than you do from people who are not. You expect a lawyer to be better are arguing a case than the average person. You expect a doctor to be better at diagnosing an illness than the average person. You expect a pro athlete to be better at their sport than the average person. You expect a "journalist" to go on TV and deal with fact and not to resort to 3rd grade level attention whoring more so than the average person. My only point has been that if you think that Skip and SAS do the same thing on their show that nikkas do on here that is a bad reflection on them and the show rather than nikkas on here. nikkas on here do not have standards to live up to while Skip and SAS do.

As a Bengals fan I'm very familiar with Taylor. He's a good CB. Very physical. Sometimes too much though and a quick double move can put you right past em. Saw Chad do it a good amount in the past, but it doesn't happen often. Like someone else said, if he knew how to catch a football he'd probably have a good 3-4 pro bowls under his belt

I am not trying to make anything seem like anything. I am flat out saying that they do not meet journalistic standards on the show, period. There is a certain level of credibility that comes with being a journalist which is directly responsible for them having the show and for people watching as well. Would people tune in to watch two random nikkas argue back and forth? Hell no! Otherwise ESPN would just grab two random nikkas off the street and pay them a fraction of what they pay SAS and Skip if they would pay them at all. Beyond that, the instant anyone calls them on their shyt they immediately run and hide behind the journalism shield and point to their years of experience in the field. Can't have it both ways. Either you are journalists or you aren't. Can't just be journalists when people check you on your bullshyt.
