It would be bad. He's not a seasoned enough ring worker yet, nor does he have the proven promo cutting ability to carry segments. That would be fine, except for the aforementioned lack of ring work[/B]. Brock could work a whole match fantastically and Ryback can't do that. He is a one-trick pony who does 3 minute squashes.

They will have to find a way to have a great match with him and get a DQ finish at the end. It's the only way to keep him from looking like a joke and make sure the belt drop isn't a failure.

That'd be ideal...but unfortunately, it's a Hell In a Cell match and I don't see how that'd be possible...hence the dilemma. What kind of fukkery has to happen for there to be a dusty finish to a HIAC match? :manny:

Another thing that could happen is Ryback gets taken out somehow BEFORE the match so he never even gets the chance prolonging his eventual wwe title win? :manny: Dude could get hit by a truck or somethin'.

Oddly enough, I'm hoping something like this happens. Perhaps, Cena'll surprise us and replace him or something. Don't want Ryback's momentum stopped...but I don't think it's time for Punk to drop the title to a "transitional" champion. I can't see Ryback holding onto the belt for too long because he doesn't seem like he can have dramatic matches.

I'm just happy that we're on edge about the outcome. Haven't been this intrigued about a PPV in a while.

Maybe have Lesnar do it to help set up the Lesnar/Ryback angle I proposed on page 1. Lesnar putting over Ryback would be big.

That's my main problem with giving him the belt right now. It's such a short sighted decision it's too risky imo.

Giving Ryback the belt might end up exposing him and fukking up his momentum even more than if he loses by some fukkery.

He'd get turned on quicker than anyone :beli: or be booked around . He's not ready for that hell get taken out somehow cause cena will be healthy by then

If they keep this sheit dragging on, they gonna regret it. :comeon: Goldberg was terrible as a champion and WCW realized that pretty quick.

Gotta be a Lesnar run in...

But obviously a Lesnar v Ryback match is Wrestlemania quality so the question would be if the WWE can slow burn the match by keeping them apart until April :manny:

not unless it turns into two on one with lesnar and cm punk taking out ryback at the start then cena comes out to even the odds....or they could go through with the match and do some kind of spot where ryback does a foley at no way out 2000 with ryback falling through a trap door than back into the ring

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
Yeah, seems like they backed themselves into a corner with the Hell in a Cell stip

Ryback getting over definitly screwed up the plans as I'm sure the title picture was going to revolve around Rock, Cena, Punk now til Wrestlemania

Ryback should probably be in Smackdown title picture but seems like he has too much momentum to not be on Raw

Hopefully the feed me more stuff is over enough for him to survive a loss

Guys, don't forget, this is Hell in a Cell. I know this is the PG+ era, but you have a lot more leeway in protecting somebody in a loss than you do in regular matches.

Let me put it in very stark terms: All of you are looking at this backwards by trying to look at months of booking, when really it's the last month and a half that matters. What's happened in that last month and a half? Ryback has more momentum than ever, while Punk has continually been made to look like a charlatan, a coward and a pissant whose accomplishments since Money in the Bank 2011 have been sacrificed at the altar of John Cena for an asinine storyline in which Punk weirdly has to cement his legacy against a guy that hasn't beaten him in 14 months.

What I'm saying is this: Punk absolutely needs to win this match because his very credibility as a main eventer has been put on the line. Ryback has so much momentum that as long as he isn't made to look like a normal human being, he'll retain his monster credibility. If Punk loses, then all of the dumbass speeches we've heard over the past few weeks that are dead wrong on their face are suddenly proven right, and that's a far worse scenario for Punk than people realize.

So I think one of two things is going to happen: The best thing that could happen to Punk is that Ryback bulldozes, Punk dodges and is beaten from pillar to post intermittently, then shows some grit and beats Ryback after he takes an unholy amount of punishment. That retains Ryback's cred while keeping Punk's for the inevitable matchup vs. Cena at Survivor Series (Because you know this is going to happen). The worst thing that could happen is a repeat of Bad Blood 1997, with Punk getting killed and being bailed out by Lesnar in the Kane role. This is because of the fact that, yeah Punk won, but he looked like a complete coward in doing so. This won't work because, unlike Shawn, the entire direction of his character and the build to this match has been directed toward making Punk look like a paper champion. Reinforcing that in a win just seems stupid to me going toward a match with The Rock.

You know they'll do the second one if he wins, though. Gotta have something for Cena to latch onto in the build.
