You say that, but it feels to me like WWE's trying their absolute hardest to erase that perception of Punk the dominant face in any way, shape and form and completely disconnect it from Punk the whining beggar. If it didn't feel like they were essentially shytting on that first 9 months so much through all the promos by Foley and Ross, I'd be less adamant about this.

You also can't have a coward just up and start winning to give him credibility. It becomes inconsistent with their character and, thus, a bit hard to believe. There's a thin difference between "he can win, but he cheats" and "he can't win, so he cheats" that WWE is so, so often on the wrong side of when constructing their template heel characters, and they're treading dangerously close to the latter with Punk at this point. They will be in that area if Punk just loses, and it's much harder to build back credibility for a main eventer without dropping him a level and rebuilding him.

In order to be on the side of the former, Punk needs to win semi-consistently over a protracted period of time, especially when it counts, so when somebody calls him out on it, he can have a record of proving people wrong (remember, people HATE, HATE, HATE when the heel proves them wrong). Punk hasn't been doing that since August, and really, he's been getting shyt on, embarrassed, chipped at and generally made to look like a blowhard. If there's any time for wins by a chickenshyt, it's right now against Ryback (well, he needs to pin him rather than defeat him, because of Ryback's credibility) and next month against Cena (You know they're doing that at Survivor Series, and because of all of the ridiculous rhetoric, Punk really needs to just win to draw a line under all of this so Punk can look toward Royal Rumble, and Cena can build himself back up for WrestleMania).

I just don't think everything he did as a face will be erased from the fans minds by this storyline. Not at this point at least. Sure, they could fukk it up and book him like shyt for 3 months and ruin him. But I don't see anything wrong with how's he's been treated right now.

Edge was the king of fukkery wins and he was still credible against anyone he faced. And he never had a run like Punk's.

As much as Foley's and JR's promos tried to shyt on his title reign. I don't think the majority of fans sees that as evidence that Punk's run isn't impressive.

The Cena match at SS is WAY more important than the Ryback match. They could hurt Punk if they don't book that one right (all this assuming that Punk vs Rock for the title at the Rumble is a given). That I agree with.

I can't believe it, Coke boy did it. A match where tsc will be furious regardless of the outcome. :salute:

It cant be more obvious that a Rehash of the Bad Blood 97 is going to happen.

Ryback takes control early, Punk with his above average ring psycology will get the upper hand with some heel tendencies. Back and forth with Ryback looking dominant until Paul E gets involved and maybe even take a Shell Shock :leon:

Ryback will then probably be close to finishing off Punk in a camera view panning away awkwardly. Brock will bust the cell open or some shyt and F-5 Ryback and Punk will get the cheap victory. THE END

I just realized something..this match is gonna happen in Atlanta? In Goldberg's hometown? Oh shyt...not only will he probably get booed out but it's probably some slap in the face type of bullshyt set up by McMahon on the Goldberg gimmick.

At some point ryback has to lose , you realize that right?? :deadrose:Losing to punk ( wwe champion)after putting up a good fight is as good as a lose you can get . Punk hits him with the title or some shenanigans now if he submits ryback idk but pinning him could be spun I mean punks beat cena bout 10 times in 2 years

Yeah. He has to lose, eventually. Not now. No belt shot, no Lesnar F-5. He cannot be pinned. The only thing I'd accept is Lesnar running in, doing is thing, and a bruised and bloodied Punk being dragged out of the ring by Heyman. Ryback could recover and then you do the big staredown.

Now what would really be cool if HHH tried to jump Lesnar and get the best of him only for Ryback to hit him a stiff clothesline and Shell Shock him. No heel turn of course, but it puts everyone on notice to stay out of business. That Cena/Ryback staredown :ohlawd:

You can't run away from the Cell that's stupid let's not even entertain that

Lesnar's not gonna show up on a B PPV unannounced just to rip down the cell and setup a match for the lowest of the big 4 shows :heh:

So there's only two outcomes and I'm gonna throw in the safest scenario for all.

Ryback wins but Survivor Series is turned into a Triple Threat with Cena, Punk, Ryback. Punk gets his title back by pinning Cena and this leads to Ryback/Punk 2 @ TLC. This is where Lesnar screws Ryback setting up their build towards Mania.

Punk face Dwayne at the Rumble, Lesnar and Ryback eliminate each other in the RR match, and Cena's sole purpose in life is to win the RR and face Rock or Punk in NYC.

Everybody's happy except those who have to see Ryback in a TLC match :manny:

Though Ryback is somewhat over he is still a long way away from being the franchise in the WWE. It's to early for him to be champ so he should lose by some type of fukkery. But this match has to be booked perfectly to preserve Punks reign and Rybacks dominance.

Turrble. I refuse to entertain any idea where Ryback wins the belt. You kill a reign just short of a year just to play hot potato with the title? :aicmon:

So Punk dips from the Cell to end the show :heh:

That's the only other plausible scenario I've seen in here that doesn't undo all they've built in Ryback.

Punk's been champ for a long time, hot shotting the title every once in awhile has never hurt.
