When police rolled up on Arthur Carracino, the Florida man was dressed in nothing but a Speedo and an open flannel shirt, standing proudly beside his marijuana plant. Carracino offered for officers to smoke with him, but to his dismay, they refused. Officers wound up arresting the 65-year-old, but not before he made a particular request. InsideEdition.com's Stephanie Officer explains.

In an effort to make the sticker slightly less offensive, the officer then instructed Webb to remove one of the letters. Webb refused and cited his First Amendment Right to announce to the world his love of eating ass.

Sheriff: Florida man shot sleeping toddler with airsoft gun, forced her to wear shock collar

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, FLA. (WSVN) — A Florida man accused of abusing his girlfriend’s 2-year-old daughter has been arrested.

Escambia County Sheriff’s Office deputies took 37-year-old Andrew Bennett Ross Celaius into custody.

Sheriff David Morgan said they began investigating Celaius after his girlfriend took her 2-year-old daughter to the hospital with what she believed was a ringworm infection.

Doctors there were quickly able to recognize signs of child abuse and notified deputies.

The sheriff added that detectives suspected sexual abuse as well. However, these reports have not been confirmed.

“We found systemic harassment, if not torture, of a 2-year-old child as this child tried to sleep. There are videos of the child sound asleep and then getting a half full bottle thrown on the child just to wake it up,” said Chief Deputy Chip Simmons. “Another time, this same child was sound asleep and this time a full bottle, thrown in an overhand type throw, right on the child clearly waking the child up and making the child cry.”

Simmons also said Celaius would shoot the sleeping girl with an airsoft gun.

However, Simmons said one of the more disturbing videos showed the child wearing a dog collar that would shock her.

“You can hear the sounds of the dog collar being activated and then the shrieking and the pain that the child has suffered as a result of this,” Simmons said. “At one point you also see the suspect with a flame; a bit of a torch and you can hear and see the child and the injuries as a result of those things. I’ve been in law enforcement for over 30 years, and when I looked at the evidence that we saw here, me and members of my staff were speechless.”

Deputies believe some of the abuse was captured on video and shared to other people. Additional charges are expected.

Celaius has been charged with multiple counts of child abuse and other crimes. The child’s mother was also arrested, at first. However, deputies said she is cooperating, and they do not believe she was aware of the abuse.

Investigators said that while in custody, Celaius contacted 36-year-old Eric Furnans, who destroyed evidence at Celaius’ request. Furnans now faces charges of destroying evidence.
That coward and everyone that helped him torture that baby need to be KILLED!

Chomp, chomp! Photos show Florida gator snacking on snake
view

LAKELAND, Fla. - Isn't nature awesome? Well, unless you're a snake being eaten by an alligator.

It was a Florida battle between David and Goliath, and the smart money was on Goliath in this swamp scuffle.

Jesse and Linda Waring of BirdWalk Photography spotted the fracas while visiting the Circle B Bar Reserve in Lakeland on Saturday. After hearing a splash, the couple noticed it was feeding time for the gator.

Luckily, Linda is quick on the draw with a camera and was able to snap some amazing photographs that show how it's a "eat or be eaten" world in the wild.

While the snake put up a fight and a strong attempt to slither away, the entire altercation was over in 10 minutes and the gator was back out looking for his next bite.

South Florida pastor accused of punching, strangling sister for missing work
Willie Strange, 61, surrenders to Miami police
safe_image.php

MIAMI - A South Florida pastor turned himself in to authorities Monday after he was wanted on accusations that he punched and strangled his sister in Miami, authorities said.

According to an arrest report, Willie Strange, 61, of Aventura, called his sister into his office at the Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Miami Monday afternoon to discuss why she had missed two weeks of work.

Police said Strange became upset during their conversation and punched his sister in her right eye, causing a bruise.

Authorities said he then punched her on the lip, causing the victim to fall to the floor.

He then grabbed her with both of his hands around her neck, impeding her airway, the arrest report stated.

According to the report, the victim was able to push Strange off of her and tried to leave the office.

Police said Strange grabbed his sister by her arms and held her against her will for about 10 minutes before she freed herself and ran to the City of Miami police north substation for help.

Authorities said Strange left the church but eventually turned himself in to police the same day.

According to the arrest report, the victim sustained a bruise to her lip and right eye and multiple scratches to her neck and chest.

Strange was arrested on charges of domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment and battery.

He appeared in court Tuesday, where he was ordered held in lieu of an $11,500 bond. He was also ordered to stay at least 500 feet away from his sister.

Narcotics investigation led to Coral Springs police officer being dragged by SUV
Derrick Jean Pierre, 24, attempted to point gun at officer, police say

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - A Coral Springs police officer is recovering Wednesday, a day after being dragged across a parking lot following a traffic stop.

Witnesses said the incident started near pump five at the Exxon gas station on Wiles Road. Police said a detective wearing street clothes, but wearing a police vest and carrying a badge, pulled over a white BMW SUV.

According to an arrest report, Pierre tried to point a handgun at Detective Brian Walker during the incident.

Derrick Jean Pierre, 24, of Deerfield Beach, is accused of trying to kill a Coral Springs police officer during a traffic stop.

The report states that Walker was conducting a narcotics investigation involving Pierre's passenger during the traffic stop.

Police said the passenger was holding a small bag of suspected cocaine and there was another bag of cocaine inside the driver's side door handle.

According to the arrest report, Pierre disobeyed orders to turn off the SUV and drove away as Walker was inside the vehicle with his feet dragging along the pavement.

Police said the detective fired at Pierre after Pierre reached underneath the seat and grabbed a semi-automatic gun.

The shot fired by the detective struck a nearby building in the shopping plaza by a preschool.

"I was freaked out," one parent told Local 10 News.

Parents said they were shocked to see crime scene investigators looking at the bullet hole outside the building when they dropped their children off Wednesday morning.

"The front rooms were evacuated to the back once they heard everything going down," parent Valerie Barnwall said. "It doesn't have to do with a school shooting in general, but it's still guns out and around children. You don't feel safe anymore."

Police said three schools -- Hunt Elementary, Forest Hills Elementary and Coral Springs High School -- were placed on lockdown as a precaution as authorities searched for the suspects.

Stores in the shopping plaza also locked their doors.

Police said they took the driver and his passenger into custody a few blocks away. The officer was taken to a hospital with injuries to his arms, hands and legs.

Parents said they are thankful everyone is OK.

"I know they have the best security for the kids," one parent said.

According to the arrest report, Pierre confessed to being in the area to sell drugs and told detectives that he was aware the victim was a police officer, but he tried to flee the scene because he thought the officer was going to kill him.

Man confesses to Miami Beach murder and other killings

safe_image.php

MIAMI BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) - A man wanted for his involvement in the murder of a Miami Beach man and arrested by New York Police has made a chilling confession.

It all began when Miami Beach Police officers discovered a body identified as 77-year-old Erik Stocker inside a condo off of 15th Street and Michigan Avenue, around 6 p.m., on May 1.

According to sources, a samurai sword was used in the killing of Stocker, whose body was left at the scene for at least 10 days prior to being discovered.

Following their investigation, police identified 32-year-old Nicholas Brent Gibson as a suspect in Stocker’s murder.

Stocker at one point reportedly lived in his condo with the accused killer.

Detectives began to track Gibson’s movement and determined he had traveled to New York City, where local police assisted in locating and apprehending him.

Miami Beach Police detectives traveled to New York on May 3 and interviewed Gibson after he was taken into custody, Sunday.

Officials said Gibson admitted to his involvement in the slaying of Stocker.

Police also said Gibson made additional statements regarding his involvement in six other homicides at an earlier point in his life throughout Georgia, Florida and California.

Detectives were able to recover physical evidence to support the murder charges against Gibson once he is returned to South Florida.

As for Gibson’s additional confessions, police are working to evaluate the information and are cooperating with law enforcement agencies in those states to determine the credibility of his statements.

Florida man gets life for slaying he blamed on sleepwalking

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — A man who claimed he was sleepwalking when he stabbed his roommate to death has been sentenced to life in prison.

The Palm Beach Post reports 26-year-old Randy Herman Jr. was convicted Wednesday of first-degree murder and sentenced. Herman argued that he was sleepwalking when he stabbed 21-year-old Brooke Preston more than 20 times at an area home in March 2017.

He testified he had no memory of the attack, just being covered in blood with a knife in his hand.

A forensic psychologist testified that Herman’s history of sleepwalking could explain the attack. Herman’s defense argued there was no motive or history of violence between the two. Investigators said Preston was preparing to move to New York.

Prosecutors rejected the sleepwalking claim, saying the attack was deliberate.

Florida woman charged with neglect after ‘hundreds of bugs’ crawl out of child’s bookbag
Courtesy: Santa Rosa County Jail
Johari Canty

MILTON, Fla. (WSVN) — A Florida woman has been charged with child neglect after hundreds of insects crawled out of her child’s bookbag.

According to the Pensacola News Journal, 33-year-old Jessica Stevenson was arrested Friday and charged with child neglect without causing great bodily harm.

According to her arrest report obtained by the paper, a staff member contacted the Florida Department of Children and Families after she noticed a second grade student wearing the same outfit to school for a full week. The employee also said the child had body odor.

Officials said when the employee asked the child when their last bath had been, they replied that they didn’t know.

The report goes on to say that the employee gave the child a new set of clothes and took the old outfit. However, the old outfit was described as being “severely soiled” with dirt caked into the fabric.

The employee also told investigators that “hundreds of bugs crawled out” of the student’s backpack.

When deputies went to Stevenson’s home, they discovered a roach infestation, along with spoiled food and other filthy living conditions.

However, investigators said Stevenson’s room was clean compared to the rest of the home.

Stevenson has since been released on bond.

Florida Man Speeds Down Highway While Standing Out Of Sunroof, Says He’d Rather Go To Jail Than Home To His Wife

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Just another day on a Florida highway.

A Florida man decided he wanted to drive his car on a busy expressway while standing through his sunroof.

A deputy who was off-duty recorded the whole thing.

He followed 70-year-old Leonard Olsen and says Olsen was going more than 100 miles per hour.

At one point, the deputy says Olsen sat on his open sunroof while the car was still moving.

When troopers caught up with Olsen, he told them he was praising God.

He says he wanted to turn himself in because he’d rather go to jail than go home to his controlling wife.

Olson got his wish. He was taken to jail and is facing a misdemeanor charge for reckless driving.
