Me too but not everyone is cut from the same cloth. U and I can deal with stupidity and just walk away. Others aren't as patient.

In an ideal world a piece of paper would protect us but these legal documents
Dont factor in human emotion /response ..

There are 2billion of us approx.. ur gonna have every type of human. From the militant types to the psycopaths to the pacifists .. not all of us deal with disrespect the same way. I never said killing them was right or permissible .. all I said was when u do something to anger a people intentionally and they respond accordingly then u shouldn't seek govt aid and protection because off ur stupidity.

i get what ur sayin about pushin the wrong peoples buttons. but a TRUE christian, for example, would say 'jesus said turn the other cheek'. meanwhile, i havent heard one muslim say one thing like that in the thread, as far as what islam dictates.

VIOLENCE IS NOT A CIVILIZED RESPONSE TO DISRESPECT, BROTHER!

:deadhorse:

i agree but in the real world violence is a response to disrespect,

i wonder where some of yall grew up man.. Here in Trenton i was taught as a baby to respect your surroundings and not to disrespect certain things, because won't nobody be there to protect your ass..

you don't disrespect no one's mother, family, property, religion, or hood. We have militant FOI, MST, YPK Hebrews and other groups here i dont' theologically agree with but i don't openly disrespect them, because the truth is Uncle Sam doesn't really have your back.

there are certain things that I don't consider free speech, racist words, dressing up in black face, clowning Native Americans, protesting soldiers funerals, nazi/burning crosses, disrespectful pics of religious persons etc., anything designed to incite emotions of anger and rage..

to me the issue is more just being disturbed that people are willing to kill over something that they dont know for sure. you really dont know if mohammed is up in the sky commending the actions of these people

your right i don't know if he is up there commending nor do i care..

the point is Muslims are raised to love Muhammad pbuh as if he were family... like i told type username, he and i can walk away from certain things,

but when you disrespect someones loved one you can't tell how they'll react... Police officers have told me that domestic situations or those involving loved ones are the most difficult to deal with, because of the emotions involved. it applies here as well.

I understand the concept of not tolerating disrespect and not letting people walk all over you. If someone is up in your personal vicinity threatening you or showing hostility toward you you may have to handle that.

But we're talking about fukking cartoons man! Unless someone is sticking pictures of Muhammad on your kids' bedroom windows or greeting you as you leave your house with them, fukk do you care for? Just don't read the newspaper with the cartoon.

And another point is that respect goes both ways, if you go to some bodies country and disrespect their traditions and their values you shouldn't be surprised when there is a backlash against muslims, so even using the muslim logic that people should realize the consequences I take it that you completely understand why the dutch and other countries have a growing movement to not let Muslims into their country

well no one flew over an islamic country and dropped cartoons like :umad:. its a shame that ignorant muslims would come to a country that would value free speech and desecrate it. or its a shame that ignorant muslims dont stay in their own areas if they feel that a cartoon is worth taking a life.

Brother, emotions are natural. Being angered by disrespect is natural. Thinking about committing violence in response to that anger is natural.

Taking a deep breath, using rationality to overcome our emotions, and acting responsibility is the only course of action that separates us from animal like behavior. Its a thin fine line between civility and chaos. Words, pictures and ideas, no matter how inflammatory, are just abstract subjective concepts.

One seen/Get in Your Truck is consisted on this matter and he is a Muslim. To paraphrase him, Muslims shouldn't be upset because it is not their land. The law is not a law that is congruent to their faith. They have to respect that.

we consider Muhammad the closest to Moses not Jesus peace be upon them all... Jesus was never a statesmen/head of gov't so he never had to carry out judgements like Moses, and Muhammad had too.

and in Islam we believe in an eye for an eye also, but the Quran does say that Allah is with those who are in patient in adversity and choose to forgive instead (turn the cheek)..

We are also commanded to not engage in hostilities despite what yall believe. just to respond to forms of oppression with equal force..

idk. the whole thing reeks of insecurity to me. one would think that if you were assured in your beliefs about mohammed, some a$$hole drawing a cartoon halfway around the world that wasnt even detrimental, but merely a depiction, is not jihad-worthy

its :heh: status that this site would prolly make people heads explode http://zombietime.com/mohammed_image_archive/misc_mo/

of course.. France, among the other nations owe nothing to us Muslims.. Thats a battle my brothers over there will have to deal with, while me and mine deal with the Islamophobia over here.

But onedeen also considers parts of this Earth "Muslim land" which is problematic in itself. No part of this world belongs to any religion. And most of that Muslim land was conquered anyway, so extending his logic, once somewhere is conquered, it is then Muslim land and they should impose Islam as the basis for legality and social structure.

i aint click the link cuz i know what your trynna do

and no if it was like what your saying, i would of flew around the world and handled it with the rest of my brothers.. it's only a small small small percent that commit these actions, the issues yall have is our opinion on the matter... It's a grey area..

Muslims have too many enemies at this point including ourselves to be running after cartoonist.

imo no one should die for a cartoon period.....ass whupping maybe, but death no.

And the entire Earth is called a masjid in the Qur'an meaning a place of prayer/prostration. if that were the case the Qur'an wouldn't touch on the subjects of treaties and trade with non muslims but it does..

The Qur'an like the old testament comes with instructions on how to govern so a legal/social structure is inevitable. As long as there are Qur'ans and Hafiz's protecting them this isn't going anywhere..

However we have yet to see a "true Islamic gov't" non Muslims are supposed to be protected equally under the law as long as they pay there taxes like we do.
