What do HL's muslims think about the murder of cartoonists for drawing mohammed

Satire, Mocking and Criticism are valid parts of a free and civilized society.

Violence is a crime.

Don't equate the two.

you want to get someone to not be aggressive about something they hold dear, you dont go about it through satire and mocking. Why not come to some type of agreement or treatise instead of continuing the same path that will never improve until one side ceases to exist.

If someone's close friend died as a child and had a record of violence towards kids making fun of his friend, telling him satire criticism and mocking is a valid part of free society is going to do zero to help either side. you sit both parties down and reach a compromise

either both sides decide to stop cooperatively, or bloodshed will continue

There is no agreement when it comes to limiting free speech. I feel the Supreme Court has limited enough already.

Plenty of people have said or demonstrated opinions which anger me and I haven't responded with violence since I was an immature teenager. Stop trying to justify injuring or killing over words, pictures and ideas.

2. talk to some clerical leader and beg them to not body them for drawing muhammed
3. destroy islam.

I don't need more demonstrations of your tapdancing logic. Free speech isn't about feelings, so it doesn't matter how you or I personally feel about any one particular offensive statement.

When the Muslim population has their own rights curtailed in response to killings like this, by your logic we should just tell them "hey, that's reality. You knew what the outcome would be, so don't complain now. Rights are just pieces of paper."

look at all the beautiful renderings of white jesus, can we get something like that too? or is it just funnier to us Muslims since we are whats in at the moment

What if its not a complimenting picture? For example, what if its a stick figure, or just a random person which is supposed to be Mohammad? Imagine the picture being neutral. Not a compliment or an insult. Would that cause you to assault the person, if he did it on purpose?

Me too but not everyone is cut from the same cloth. U and I can deal with stupidity and just walk away. Others aren't as patient.

to me the issue is more just being disturbed that people are willing to kill over something that they dont know for sure. you really dont know if mohammed is up in the sky commending the actions of these people
