There is no agreement when it comes to limiting free speech. I feel the Supreme Court has limited enough already.
Plenty of people have said or demonstrated opinions which anger me and I haven't responded with violence since I was an immature teenager. Stop trying to justify injuring or killing over words, pictures and ideas.
But has someone constantly tried to push the same exact button to invoke some violence out of you since you were a teenager?
im not trying to justify violence breh, i'm trying to balance the blame scale. Just like homie said, people are actively trying to invoke a response by negative, crude, and disrespectful pictures of a highly revered person. what possible outcome would anybody hope to achieve in these acts other than to instigate violence, national draw muhammad day.. The violence that would result from a national burn a bible day, or national call a black person a a nygger day? But im supposed to say "oh, i live in a post racial society. they must be trying to compliment me and my beliefs :shake:"
If if were more along the lines of they tried to illustrate the rasul in a positive light, and by honest mistake, muslims would be more obliged to resolve the matter peacefully. Honest mistakes are forgivable, intentional disrespect, not so much.
Im not advocating violence but people reap the benefits of their own actions. This isn't utopia. people are going to say foolish things and according to their intentions, they should be punished accordingly, hopefully in ways that dont include violence. unfortunately for muslims, no one is going to hold any any instigators accountable for their lack of apathy whether muslims take a peaceful approach or violent one.
