I heard it was weird as fuk.

My Mom told me about this time in the late 80's some dude who lived in the projects was arrested for having tigers,alligators,monkeys,snakes,flamingos and all of these other wildlife animals living in his apartment.

I visited some family in NYC 3 years ago (S. Bronx to be exact)

Some places still are kinda hood. I mean it didn't feel dangerous but you can still tell its the hood. Nothing like these pictures though

I'm an outsider but I remember Brooklyn, Queens and Bronx as a kid being dirty....garbage and graffiti tags everywhere. Now its clean as fuk.......I was in Queens in August and I was surprised at how clean Jamaica Ave was.....almost as clean as Toronto....but you still got some old ass buildings that I see while driving in on the George Washington from New Jersey.
