Her stand up has improved a lot over the years, she went from being a hack comedian to paying her dues in the clubs. Whether you find her funny or not she's a true comic now, just way overexposed being just about the only women doing it big, and with the feminist angle. Fail to see how her CC show is funny though.

I finally saw some episodes of her Comedy Central show, it was actually funny but nothing mind blowing.

CC gave him a show for a few seasons but it flopped. Haven't heard much from him since guess he's still doing stand up.

Pretty accurate for the most part. Comedy Central seems to be behind a lot of her push, but at the same time, she's actually not too bad. She's been able to prove she can hold her own with a show unlike Whitney Cummings.

Whitney's stand ups were genuinely abhorrent. It's like she recognized she was in the same lane as Schumer and tried to be relatively proper about her style of telling sex jokes.

Silverman I don't like, but I wouldn't call her a bad comic.
Schmuer I don't like and tried to get into her stand-up, but she's the best of the three by a bit of a distance.
Another comic who is way more popular (not very, but somewhat) than her comedy dictates is Iliza Shlesinger. I've watched both her specials and I just can't. Same with Chris D'elia, can't stand dude.
If I had to have a list of simply "female comcis" Maria Bamford is by far my favorite; granted, not for everyone, but I think she's weird and absolutely hilarious.

truth i think Whitney Cummings was their "golden ticket"..they put the whole machine behind her and it flopped...she even had 2 shows going on at once at one point and i bet 0 of them exist right now. Amy def kept a profile and stuck around thru all of that.
