If its about loyalty why dont AD stay in NO

:mjlol:

Loyalty :hula: Demanding a trade

He he values loyalty and WINNING , you come to the league to win if NO ain’t making the right moves to help a talent like AD win then they not being loyal. If AD stays to be “loyal” to NO then he’s not loyal to himself his dreams and aspirations, maybe in the future he’ll go back to them , but moves like this force GM’s to make real moves once they have a star. Look at Dallas they not playing now that they got luka. They’re showing luka early that they are committed and trying to win now with him.

Also on another note why do posters keep saying it’s Isaiah’s fault he damaged himself, when the same medical that end up getting fired because of that whole ordeal
Said it was ok for him to play through it , when in reality he should’ve been shut down.

(It’s not a matter about the trade even a blind person would pick kyrie over Isaiah just off hearing KY dribble patterns and footwork bank shots and swishes. It’s the fact that they pimped Isaiah)

So signing a 6’8 27 year old wing who played at least 72 games year in all but his second season and who was throwing up 20/5/4 with great %’s for the prior 3 years was a bad idea because he broke his leg after they signed him?????

LMAO

it was a bad idea before they signed him.

you gonna act like we weren't on here criticizing the signing months before he broke his leg?

they didn't need dude. they just signed him cuz hes brad Stevens' guy and they wanted a white all-star in boston.

I hope they get bounced in the 1st round.

They did need him. People were calling brown a bust and Tatum hadn’t even suited so. They were kissing a good wing player.

With his injury came the rise of brown and Tatum

look anyone would have traded irving for thomas but its how the celts did it. They cost dude mad money and now isaiah is almost 30 with a bad hip and will be lucky to get anything more than the vet min next year or even a nba deal.
that was all it doing. Trying to impress cacs by playing thru injury. Not knowing no team was giving him 200 mill cause at the end of the day he was a 5’9 scoring first pg

And the Lakers even tried to trade him.

Speaking of the Lakers, how loyal were they to Lamar Odom when he lost a family member and was in a fatal car accident and they STILL tried to trade him for CP3 and when it fell through sold his ass to Dallas?

Oh that was different
Man what kind of shyt is this? First, when did the Lakers try to trade Bean other than at his request? Second, so are you going to bring up every trade for every team? Because there’s a “loyalty issue” with every trade if that’s the case. Every situation isn’t the same. Thomas ruined his hip to do everything for the team and they traded him a couple of months later.

Sleazy "business" practices cost organizations benificial partnerships all the time in the real world..... You want to operate your organization in a callous and exploitative fashion... Thats your choice... However don't complain about the repercussions of your "businesses" decisions :francis:

If boston as an org talks that we feel betrayed shyt, they are doing so to garner favor from fans/media. Which is a tried and true formula time and time again.

We all know in fandom our loyalty lies mostly with the org and not players. Weeasily shyt on players but to shyt on the team? Nah. We dont know enough. So we go for the easy target

An org needs to only seem pro fan and be held in high regard.

Ainge led him to believe he was gonna be kept

Told him that it was worth playing through injury and risking his body, because the celtics could attract free agents like Gordon Hayward to play with him

Only for Ainge to ship him off for Kyrie the second he was available

:wow:

Trading IT for Kyrie is a no brainer. F*ck IT feelings.

I mean, we’ve been over it, can you imagine how F’d the Cs would be right now if they stayed “loyal” to IT?....

I feel like the Celts squad responded more to IT than they do/did to Kyrie. Am I wrong?

I'm pretty sure y'all would have a whole squad of cats scrapping every game instead of cats starting fights in the huddles and media.

LA dumped Odom like garbage once he was done being useful to them and left him to fukkin die but Ainge is literally Hitler for sending IT to the team that was just in the Finals that season. Does any franchise have a more shameless, frontrunning "fanbase"?? :mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

"B-b-b-b-u BAWSTON RACIST THO!!!!111 LA NOT RACIST AT ALL1!!!!"

LeBron James responds to 'n-word' slur: Racism is 'part of America'

Yea keep talkin bout that idyllic gentrified exhibition y'all got over there, no racism in sight I'm sure :mjpls::mjpls::umad:

Lakers traded Odom at the height of his value. He had just won sixth man of the year. How was he useless? Stop making shyt up.

lol why is the choice "trade him or max him out'? ofc IT wanted the max, but that doesnt mean you couldnt have still done right by him without giving him the max and putting the franchise in an unfavorable position

the point of this matter is - a player put his health on the line which affected him till today (his game and money), and also put aside his family issue/loss at the time to give his best for a franchise that at the time didnt have him another star or solid young future stars. if as a franchise, you can't find a way to do right by this guy - especially when you want players to buy into the concept of family and loyalty to the team - then yeah, it makes perfect sense for players to feel that way. keep in mind they traded him partly due to the injury he sustained playing his azz off for the very team that held his injury against him ... a narrative that continued till he got put on the shelf again.

it is a business, but that goes both ways - teams cant make business decisions then get surprised if it affects the business decision of another player :manny:

I wouldn’t have maxed IT either.

fukk em though. Kyrie is gonna have those cacs walking on eggshells around him for the next 5 months.

:banderas:

Someone check on Bill Simmons. He’s been trying to speak this AD trade into existence for years.

:russ::russ::russ::russ::russ:

BILLY WAS FOR SURE WAS TRYING TO TALK THE ENTIRE PLANET INTO AD GOING TO BOSTON.......here's the thing it still might happen though because Boston might throw out the best offer, but we all now know AD ain't resigning there.

The Celtics were right Business wise to not give him the max.

The issue is they ran dude into the ground and made his injury worse and then discarded him. That’s what players are mostly upset about.

this

not sure whats with the binary thinking here of "well either max him out or trade him" lol ... i'm sure IT would be more appreciative of an offer that may be less than what he wanted at the time (one that he can turn down which would be a mutual business decision) rather than him getting injured playing for the team, grieving his sister, then be traded for parts on some "yeah sorry u hurt sooooo"

Revisionist history. Hayward would have got that contract from ANY team
