Well we are here... speaking a foreign cac language so the word is just the word... I didn't mean it like a offshoot of cac conservatism which obviously would have us back in chains.

U cant offshoot it. Black conservatism is like Jewish Nazism. "We are going to leave out the concentration camps. We want to build an Autobahn in Israel". We have to get out of this mode of thinking that everything we do has to be an "offshoot". Every important thing black people have done in the US was not an offshoot. The civil rights movement was not an offshoot. Jazz, R&B, rock & roll, rap were not offshoots. Black church was only an offshoot for us to build our communities outside the cloak of suspicion of "mainstream" America.

Damn near all our offshoots are worthless. "Black" feminism. "Black" conservatism. "Black" reality shows etc. We don't have the same freedom or foundation as the mainstream so we have to think completely differently.

Most things in life worth having don't come easy. And I would say the govt has had a larger hand in fragmenting the black community than us. NOI, Malcolm X, Black Panthers, all targeted by the CIA, and the black family was torn apart by welfare, racist drug laws, the prison military complex and the gutting of American industry in towns like Detroit, Cleveland, etc. When the chips are stacked against you in from so many different angles you can only fight so much.

And ofcourse an opinion on one or two issues doesn't make you a conservative, but I'm saying that these people have a lot of opinions that when taken as a whole would totally put them in the conservative category. . . when people vote 95% economically left wing, none of their self reporting matters. i already have had these conversations, some people i speak with are all over the place when discussing issues, yet when the rubber meets the road, they use social safety nets and vote for democrats almost 100% of the time. they are pro government spending and hate paying taxes. i know black folks who complain about welfare queens...and then complain that their daughter couldnt get section 8
