Finished Badlands Rumble(90 minutes) The movie takes place some time between episodes 9 and 11 of Trigun.
20 years after meddling into the bank heist of a notorious robber named Gasback, Vash the Stampede is heading towards Macca City. Rumors say that the legendary thief might appear there causing an enormous influx of bounty hunters in the area who want to collect the $$300,000,000 prize for his head.

It's more of the same from the series(comedy/action) with the plot focused on a newly introduced female protagonist. Vash is still goofy throughout the majority of the film but the main focus is the movie exclusive heroine and the antagonist. You get to understand the motivations of the protagonist(Amelia) and the antagonist(Gasback) as they both have a quest for revenge. Obviously their beliefs on vengeance clash with how Vash wants things to go down but you understand it makes sense for them to want revenge on the parties they want revenge on. Plenty of new characters are introduced in smaller roles exclusively for the film as well. The movie told a good story throughout and it was cool that the focus wasn't really on Vash as the movie went on. Both Amelia and Gasback were good additions to the series and they fit in well with the established world, the story told makes sense from both perspectives. You really only get a glimpse into both of their lives prior to the events taking place but you got enough to understand them and their motivations.
