I've been meaning to give Gunbuster and Diebuster a watch
everyone i trust heavily recommends that shyt
what are they about
It's really damn good so far. Thought I might be turned off by the animation and/or sound quality given the time period but its the exact opposite
Diebuster is weird it wasn't bad but I found it nothing like Gunbuster.

Never got around to it. I did watch another one a few years ago with the same characters but the story was completely different.

The later episodes have drama thanks to the abilities getting stronger so if you dont mind that then youll like it.

Yeah, the "season" they go into space is just brilliant homage after homage to other Studio Trigger stuff.
The show starts off kinda directionless (or at least feels like it) but the further it goes the better it gets as the drama builds.
