I honestly don't think it did :yeshrug:

As soon as I saw that fake ass Heero on the screen I knew what I was in for :mjcry:
If you're gonna shyt on Gundam for reusing characters then you should never watch it again. 80% of the villains are Char clones. 00- was good. It wasn't better than Wing but it was damn close.

Finished watching Texhnolyze. Madhouse produced psychological thriller back in the early 2000's. Creators are the same masterminds that were behind Serial Experiments Lain

Ultra slow paced, but felt rewarded by a deep story filled with fruitless irritation, obsession and ultimately sorrow from an impoverished society trying to survive in a region controlled by criminal factions. The bleak atmosphere & general absence of light really helped to accentuate the chilling nature of the anime, and each lead character progressively grew on me as their hidden motives were unveiled

There were no immediate selling points whatsoever e.g. an adorable female lead or fast paced animation, there wasn't even any talking in the first ten minutes of the debut episode, just a beautifully crafted story - that elects to show, not tell - with a powerful conclusion that'll take the breath out of any anime viewer with the patience to sit through a slow burn, atmospheric thriller. Not surprised it's so low in popularity; regardless, Tex has a spot in my personal top psychological fukkery rankings

1. NGE - End of Evangelion
2. HakoMari
3. Monster
4. Original FMA
5. SEL
6. Tex

Would be remiss to leave out the ED which really drove home the central message of the anime after the conclusion of every episode. Gonna take me some time to get it off my mind

Tex really makes SEL look mild by comparison. Not as complex, but so much more graphic and forceful. Off the top I can't think of an anime this somber, with a conclusion that could take a lifetime to forget. Don't even feel sad right now, just empty.

Picked monter back up and finished it. great series though I hated the ending

Not only did Tenma let Johan live but his apprentice is still alive too :dahell:

Detective Lunge the best character to me idk why.Roberto was a maniac but I gotta hand it to him he had hoes. Also liked professor richvine, Eva and Grimmor. Nina was the worst character, hella annoying

Dr. Tenma wasn't a killer at heart, he was a doctor :manny:

His whole journey was a spiritual one with his development. His conscious wanted to make things right for setting a "monster" loose but he stayed true to his character throughout, which was as a savior :wow:

Series is my top 5, Johan played the Anti-Christ role perfect :wow:
