Another great episode and the ending scene was phenomenal. :ohlawd:

So Badeni was an example of a man who thirsted for knowledge. However simply the church looks at that thirst for knowledge as a sin. Lust in some ways. Looking at it from today's society, it seems silly. Even with the threat of losing his eyes, he still went for it. I do give him respect. But man, that scene with them intentionally burning his eye was intense.

As Badeni and Oczy were talking and the moment you think you figure something out is the best feeling. Back to the quote, a Wrong Answer is not a meaningless answer. With two theories set to be true and the preconceived notion that the earth is not moving feels like something is off. But if we assume the earth is moving much like Mars then its positions are relative to earth, but both planets have their own speeds. In terms of common sense makes much more sense.

As Oczy fears that heaven & stars are corrupted as earth, I love how Badeni offers a glass half full perspective. What if the earth is as beautiful as heaven and the stars. The thought we are shining bright as them. It doesn't disrespect God, but gives credit to what Schmitt said that our time on earth has meaning. Great scene at the end of Oczy being able to look at the sky and see how beautiful it is without any fear.

Well, pretty interesting how a list of immortals was on that list. Given that Machina has a Familia, it could make sense why she wasn't on the list. Makes it clear that perhaps Marcus is involved if that isn't obvious at that point. But he took his fellow immortals and uses them to power the city. Makes me wonder if the general population would try to go against him. Since what it gives to the city energy and resources. They would rather turn a blind eye, I would imagine.

Losing contact with Machina is not a good sign. You know he will do whatever it means to make sure she is safe. Though I feel her kidnapping happened to lure Veltol out. Maybe they never used Machina as fuel because Marcus knew of her immense loyalty to Veltol and the ideal immortal to use as fuel would be him.
