I parry everything fnished today and that shyt was fukking fire. Real simple concept and sometimes cliche, but is executed real well.

shyt was lowkey inspirational. Dude trained and failed at everything, but still kept at it until his one true skill overcompensated for all his flaws. nikka always found a way to parry something no matter what. Kept it humble the whole time too.

Finally seen That Spy Family code white movie and that shyt was dope. Great action scenes, especially Yor vs that cyborg nikka. That was well done.

This TenSura episode was a blast. Man Ramiris is asking to get fired at this point :mjlol:

Dyrad with the clean blow on Giaye :ehh: One of the better looking episodes for S3.

Almost done with season 2 of Shield Hero. It seems like they gotta be flying through this material at an excessively fast pace. I'm guessing this is adaptation decay. The budget must have been cut and the episode count is halved. In the first season it more or less felt like they took their time. Outside the fast pacing wouldn't say it's better or worse through.

Checked out a few episodes of Kaiju No 8 after seeing a Tik Tok about it, pretty entertaining so far. Has me thinking of subscribing to Crunchyroll Premium for a month to finish the season and the latest season of Demon Slayer, then canceling.

I ain't even mad. I think you're the first person who didn't have a problem with S2.

Let me know how 3 goes

I actually don't know cause I dropped it

I feel like S2 is basically more of the same just paced too fast. It’s a great concept for a series with average to at times below average execution.

I looked at the summaries to the light novels on Amazon and it doesn’t really seem like the plot goes anywhere. It’s 20+ novels in and doesn’t look like it’s reaching a conclusion or even close to one. Could have been a Mushoku Tensei level series if it was more focused.

I mean Shield Hero is great in the first 4 episodes, then falls off into mid-category. Even then, you still had the revenge plotline carrying it so that was fine.

Put got S2 was directionless and ventured into the typical generic iseaki.

The author has to make sure the whole squad is a bunch of dumbasses because that's the only reason Kizuna didn't come back in S3. She was by far the best character in the series.

Season 2 is about the alternate worlds and heroes. They laid the groundwork for it in season 1. I wouldn’t call it directionless due to that. Typical isekai doesn’t really get into multiple people summoned into multiple worlds and conflicts that could cause them to need to destroy each other’s new worlds to survive. From a character standpoint it never was not typical isekai.

It’s kinda wack that everyone has to be dumbed down just to make Naofumi look better. There’s the concept of an amazing series here but it ends up falling short. It’s never going to recover because the author is seemingly milking it for all it’s worth.

Arifureta and Failure Frame as flawed as both are both are more entertaining than Shield Hero. All of them try to have edgy a$$hole with a heart of gold mains but Naofumi is easily the worth of the 3.

Alright, the comedy was on point, especially with the banter between Koyomi, Shinobu & Hachikuji. :russ:

So one thing to note that I was wrong regarding Karen being one of the two other missing girls. Thankfully, since that would have given Koyomi the biggest heart attack he could have. The source of the basketball team's issues sounds like the team is having issues. With Kanbaru & Kanbaru not around, there is a lack of leadership. With the team falling apart and kids not showing sounds something pretty grounded. From the vampire angle, it is difficult to tell until we get additional information. Though keeping Shinobu out of the loop is a hard task for Koyomi.

The one I do love in this episode is how Koyomi mentions keeping things from Shinobu us harder them keeping something from his parents. This is a great angle to describe their relationship since Shinobu has been connected to him through the highs and lows. Also, in the banter with Hachikuji we see some of the influence Koyomi has had on Shinobu as she fit right in with the flub banter.

So something doesn't quite add up if we previously assumed that Suicide-Master was targeting the girls on the basketball team. If she lacks nutrition, but has getting blood from these girls, that feels like a contradiction. Could there be another vampire? Could a first year girl be turned into a vampire similar to Shinobu did to Koyomi. Again, more information is needed.

For now, the plan is give Suicide-Master medicine to recover. Though going to hell is quite the task. Although I am curious if Shinobu sent Koyomi to heaven accidentally? If not, either this could be hell disguised as heaven or Koyomi needs to tackle something regarding the Beautiful Princess. This is interesting since Shinobu & Princess Acerola are one and the same, it makes me wonder why she appears before her?

Looks like we end this season at right before chapter 32 as chapter 26-28 was adapted today and 29-31 should be adapted for the finale. Not much to add, though ending on this small arc has me excited. Since one of the main theme of this series gets started here.

Over the course of the season we see Tokiyuki growing up little by little bit, but here it was most noticeable. As we see early on, Tokiyuki gets overrun by Hoshino and his men, but as soon as he heard Hoshino say that Kojiro will die alongside him, that triggered him. Basically, how dare you suggest my retainer will die alongside you.

Along the way, Tokiyuki expresses himself of what he has gone through. All those people back in Kamakura killed themselves, and will people remember them? No, they won't. The whole pride about glorifying one's death is stupid. Essentially flee to live as you can only make your impact as long as you live. Which is why Kojiro says at the end, I'll support you how you live. Since he isn't considering the point of how Tokiyuki would die.

It's really telling how unreasonable the Provincial Official is when Sadamune is making his excuses not to enjoy the battle and Ichikawa has to defend the official while he is near the frontline. Even making matters worse, he tells his men to go after the retreating enemy even when it holds no benefit. Truly the examples of a bad leader.
