:russ:

Look man the shyt was lit until a certain person offed themselves and then some random spirit fought sukuna and all of a sudden sukuna said "you know what yuji take ya shyt back I'm done with it :obama: " :dead:

Also the MC should have died in that bathroom but they using amnesia fake memories storylines :dead: . Now the opps linked up on the same team bc of that :what:

I heard the fanbase just accepting reality that one of their faves died after literal years. When it was clear as day that it was an instakill situation they had. And then Shueshia or the JJK official social media account wished the character a happy birthday on the same day the fanbase was forced to accept the news :laff:

Just found out Isayama made a backstory manga chapter for Levi 3 months ago :mindblown:

I thought it was already canonical that little OVA they made about him.

It doesn't really contradict though, you could say it kind leads into the OVA or blends with it.

Anyways it's bleak as fukk :dead:

Wistoria: Wand & Sword Episode 5

This adapted chapters 6+7 pretty well. No complaints on that front.

I loved the sequence in the beginning where it shows Sion realizing Will is on the team. Then as soon as Julius enters the room he realizes Will has his eyes on Sion only. Colette should have better communicated that Sion would be helping Will. By all accounts, like others said, she left a ticking time bomb.

Sion is an idiot, but you can obviously understand why he lost his cool when he did.
It's only a matter of time before Sion becomes Vegeta to Will's Goku.

Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World is such an entertaining light novel. It's a tragedy it got such a pathetic adaptation that was so rough they indefinitely suspended it.

Just finished Zoku Owarimonogatari the arc being called Koyomi Reverse. Wasn't expecting after the conclusion of Owarimonogatari for it to match, but it definitely did. :wow: Will start watching Off & Monster Season which has started this season.

After the events in Owarimonogatari where Koyomi saves Ougi Oshino we see him looking in a mirror and being transferred into another version of the world he knows. There are many odd things to note:

  • Karen is short.
  • Hanekawa is in her Black Hanekawa form fully.
  • Hachikuji is in the body of an adult.
  • Kanbaru embraces the form of Rain Devil and seeks to kill Koyomi
  • Sengoku resembles her inner self and the frustration she lets out
  • Oikura is living with the Araragi's and she is expressive.
  • Shinobu is in her human form
  • Ononoki being much more expressive.
  • Only Tsukihi is unchanged and Hitagi doesn't show up.
Given that Koyomi was transferred from the mirror, it could very well mean that everyone is their true selves that they locked away. The Mirror which is a reflection of you exposes those.

  • Karen has insecurities about her height.
  • Hanekawa being more laid back
  • Hachikuji getting to live as an adult.
  • Kanbaru wanting her desires to kill Koyomi.
  • Sengoku letting herself be loose.
  • Oikura able to express herself to her desires.
  • Shinobu getting to live as a human.
This gives the solution to Koyomi of traveling back to his world. As he tries to do that, he receives help. Naturally, like he has done all of this time, he wants to seek out Shinobu's help. However, the issue is: Vampires don't have a reflection, so naturally, Shinobu can't exist in this world. But she does exist as a human princess. Her advice is to seek help, but what is this help?

With the help of Ononoki, he is able to infiltrate Kanbaru's house. Where he meets Kanbaru's mom, Tooe Gaen. Given that Izuko Gaen mentioned that Koyomi reminds her of her sister. As he meets Tooe, it is clear how she is a different kind of genius than Izuko and Hanekawa. Izuko's genius comes from eliminating what she doesn't know so she knows everything. Hanekawa utilized both as her tools. Using what she knew and what she didn't know to aid in her solution. For instance, finding Meme Oshino.

According to her with what they are missing is that you can know something, but be wrong. Which is a very true thing in life. What if you are wrong with what you know or don't know? Does it make sense about what you know? Within your knowledge, can you understand it as well? There is also the interesting aspect that her family was one of monster creation. Which might be more important in the long distant future. She talks about facing your other side or other half. Essentially, how you face with what you are holding deep inside. She mentions the Rainy Devil was her other half, and it consumed her and turned her into a monster. Tackling your other half is the first important key.

As Koyomi meets Ougi they have an interesting conversation. It is mentioned how in a mirror 20% isn't shown when it is reflected. That gives Koyomi the clue that he never existed in this world. As we know, Koyomi is a very empathetic guy, he will resonate with that 20% of which is missing. So, for many people it can be seen as their regrets. So all the people he sees that is their regrets or that is how it seems initially. The real twist is that there is no world to go back to. He is already in his world. With his vampire skills, he pulled out the lost 20% and created this world into a mirror world. This gives the fear of is this permanent?

Switching topics, Ougi talks about the decision Koyomi made in saving her. It is an important point going forward that the specialists didn't agree with his decision. What does this mean exactly? It is much more so the term of Koyomi and Ougi being partners. This does imply that in the future Koyomi and Ougi are in danger. The idea that Ougi is a quasi-darkness that can't allow a happy ending is a fear they have. The darkness they act like one, but really isn't. Darkness that only exists for Koyomi's regrets. I assume that they fear that the side effects could be deadly.

At the end of the day, Ougi is Koyomi's partner, much like Shinobu. The idea is that he cleans after he and she cleans after him. He will protect Ougi and Ougi will help him in his tight spots. She offers a holy instrument which will take care of the 20%. Ougi leaves with an important question and that is who is Koyomi Araragi?

The answer to Ougi's question of "Who are you?" requires self reflection on Koyomi's part. Koyomi is an empathetic guy, and he wants to help out everyone in need. However, there is a lesson that if you dwell too much on your past it can be a negative burden. For Koyomi the changes in this mirror world represents what he regrets he couldn't do. He pulled it out of the mirror because he didn't want to lose it.

  • For Karen not teasing her as much about her height.
  • For Hachikuji not being able to change the past so she can live a normal adult life.
  • For Kanbaru being unable to help her issue with the Monkey's arm and not being able to fix it by the time he graduated.
More beyond those. The lesson Koyomi learns is that, yes he has regrets for things he couldn't do in the past. That is a part of life. We are all going to have regrets, but how we live and move on from them is key. Koyomi needed to learn that lesson.

So why was Tsukihi the same as she was previously? What is Koyomi's regret regarding Tsukihi? Well, we know that she is the apparition of the Phoenix and you can imagine not being a regular human like him and Karen is what he regrets. While on the surface she looks the same, but in this world she isn't the apparition of the Phoenix. This is a regret like the others, but obviously this is something way beyond his control. These are the regrets that are the hardest to move on from.

One really sweet highlight at the end of this was how come we never saw Hitagi. There is nothing in his life that he regrets about with Hitagi. His love, trust and relationship with her and how they have developed that are things he has 0 regrets on.

As the story of Koyomi Araragi reaches his end. Much like in the 2nd Season, we start getting more of the focus on the other girls. This episode is told from the view point of Yotsugi Ononoki. Currently, we get a focus on Tsukihi as she hasn't been put in the spotlight since Nisemonogatari. For the main reason, Koyomi wanted to take the danger from them. Let them be the sisters he loves.

Of course, since Ononoki has been in the Araragi house, both of the Araragi sisters viewed her as just as a doll. However, we see that Tsukihi finds out that Ononoki is, in fact, a living being in a doll. In typical Tsukihi fashion, once something catches her eye she will never take her eyes off the prize. Ononoki had to go with the excuse of her being a Magical Girl, and she was destined to beat some monster. Essentially, once she accomplishes her goal, she will leave the doll. Of course, we know all of this is a lie.

Ononoki goes to Sengoku, which is the first we really have seen her since Otorimonogatari. Basically, Ononoki wants Sengoku to draw the slug that Ononoki will defeat to convince Tsukihi that she accomplishes her duty.

What I really like here is the growth of Sengoku. We remember Sengoku to being a cute timid girl. In very much of the sense her life was beyond easy. Everything was given to her. Hell, that is how her problems got started. Kaiki saving her taught her a valuable lesson. That it is a good thing that life isn't easy. As in life, you have earned what you wanted. There is a certain satisfaction. That satisfaction will enable you to grow as a person.

If you notice here, she asks about Kaiki rather than Koyomi. As Kaiki mentioned before, Koyomi is beyond kind and generous. That kindness was a curse to Sengoku, and she was trapped. Kaiki was able to guide her to find meaning to life.

Here as Ononoki is with Tsukihi she remarks on Tsukihi living as the Phoenix. Thinking about the possibility of having an eternal life like the Phoenix. She wouldn't want that because you want your life to have purpose. If your time was infinite, what is your motivation. Remarking on what Sengoku said life is hard is a good thing. You have a limited time to do things and how you make use of that time is fundamental.

Of course, for Ononoki, dealing with the Slug was harder than she thought. More so the variable presence that Tsukihi brings. She brings, so many characteristics like her brother. She mentions she went out of control, but it was more her wanting to protect Tsukihi. In that possibility, she put herself in a position to die. Despite Ononoki mentioning her life is eternal as the Phoenix to Tsukihi that is not known for her. Since she doesn't know that it really shows her character. Meanwhile, for Ononoki despite dying before, she faced a reality of dying again. Even if she is a doll with a life, it brings it to the attention that nobody wants to die. Which again is the fear of us living, we don't know when our time is up. Which brings us back to Sengoku's quote that life being hard is a good thing. We need to make the most of our time living. Tsukihi does that every day.

Hachikuji saves Ononoki as the God of the town and the Snail apparition. She is able to deal with the Slug easily and sends the two of them on their way home.

Now how does Sengoku's quote relate to Tsukihi? How we deal with trauma and challenges makes us grow. We can clearly see that with Sengoku who has grown so much. But Tsukihi being the phoenix, has eternal life until it moves on to the next person. Most likely her own child. Much like Koyomi, Tsukihi's would eventually heal. This was one issue with Koyomi since knowing this he would take risks he normally wouldn't do. It is funny in many way Tsukihi does the same thing as her brother with the only difference of her being unaware of it.

Unlike her brother, the Phoenix heals more than just wounds. If there is stress or trauma, it heals that too. The easiest way to heal trauma is to forget it. This is what the phoenix does to Tsukihi. What Sengoku learned about life not being easy is how you learn from it. For Tsukihi, she can't learn from her mistakes because she does not remember this. This is the curse of the phoenix. Her mistakes are pushed onto others as they clean up after her. With Koyomi being in college and Karen in high school now. Will the burden fall on Karen or will Ononoki be able to clean up after Tsukihi.

The ironic part of the ending of the episode is that Ononoki failed to learn her mistake as Tsukihi catches her eating ice cream again. The cycle repeats from the beginning of the episode, and it is up to Ononoki to learn from this mistake. As Tsukihi will be in a cycle of forgetting Ononoki is a doll.
