NieR:Automata Ver1.1a is back for Part 2 and tbh imo you should play through the game before watching the anime. As this episode was fantastic, but it still feels like it is intended for you to play the game first. Regarding the episode.

We're getting more Commander in the anime then we did in the game which I am all for. We got the type E side quest adapted for this episode and how they tie it with How 2B has been constantly killing 9S time and time again was brilliant. In a way for us that played the game we didn't get this confirmation till late game from what I recall. So seeing it here we can be witnessed to 2B's pain. Since she hesitated, which confirms that. Loved seeing Emil too.

Another watched first episode of 2.5 Dimensional Seduction, which is basically very similar to My Dress Up Darling minus the romance. The two leads are major otakus and the cosplay aspect definitely seems like a bigger thing then Dress Up Darling. Also feels like this one is more ecchi.

Watching through Bakemonogatari: Tsubussa Cat Arc, Episode 12 is a break and focuses on Araragi and Senjougahara as they go on a date. This might have been the best episode as it is a reflection of what has happened so far. Poor Araragi having Senjougahara's father is their chaperone and Senjougahara knows she is messing with him. But for a lot of it is much of the same how she is with him. Of course Araragi is scared shytless.

But it is when Senjougahara leaves her father and Araragi alone is you really can see how much Hitagi loves Araragi. Hitagi's father was the typical always working and never around. Considering Hitagi's backstory with her mother, you can really understand why her father was guilty. Not to mention the guilt he felt adding to the attempted rape of her.

His main point to Araragi is that yes anybody could have helped her, but you were the one that DID help her. A father seeing their daughter at their happiest is something I imagine there isn't anything that could make them happier. This scene was honestly the best in this whole season so far.

The cherry on top between Hitagi and Araragi is the icing on the cake as they look up at the stars. For Hitagi even through all the terrible shyt she went through, the fact that she still will go through that if it meant finding him is a testament to how much she loves him. For Araragi, he is a simple and kind person. As he has got to know the real Hitagi behind the thorns there isn't anything he doesn't love.

Still need to watch the last 3 episodes to continue the actual arc, but this season is shaping up to be certified classic status on its own.

Sengoku Youko Episode 2+3 does a great at showcasing the conflict of Humans vs Katawara. We see a flashback with both Tama and Jinka. We see Tama received the warmth and kindness of a human who is dying. Meanwhile, Jinka sees the ugliness of humans killing his katawara companion. You can see why Tama seeks peace between humans and Katawara and Jinka wants to become a Katawara and have revenge on humans.

Now spinning this forward to Shakuyaku and Shinsuke. We see two humans who also felt the wrath of humanity. Shinsuke is a former farmer turned rurouni who is sick of being powerless. On the other hand Shakuyaku who was experimented on by the Dangaishuu. She received power, but she lost control and killed her village without her realizing it till now. To make matters worse all of a sudden these memories came flooding back to her. You can't imagine how she feels at the moment. You have one person who is pissed at how powerless he is and another he received the power and hate what she has become. This make for a great chemistry between these two. Understanding each realizing what they can do going forward.

To add to this Tama tells Jinka like with Katawara there are good humans and bad. Shinsuke and Shakuyaku are two example of that. Which is why he shouldn't forsake his humanity so willingly.

This episode really highlights some top-notch storytelling.

Watching through Episode 1 of "The Elusive Samurai", man Cloverworks out did themselves with one of the best premier episodes so far this year and the best so far this season.

Just looking at chapter 1, so much of the peaceful part was anime original headlined by the ball changing into a sliced head.

Also, how beautifully the animation was in this episode. It looks beyond gorgeous especially in the aspects that it elevated scenes from the manga. Really excited to see Kojiro and Ayako this episode since they nailed Shizuku's debut as well as the portrayals of her, Tokiyuki and Yorishige

Watched the First episode of Shoshimin: How to Become Ordinary

This is from the same author as Hyouka and this is the same studio as Undead Girl Murder Farce. First episode impressions is that this felt like an anime that would get a movie as the direction had that feel to it. The direction of it was great because it really captured your attention.

It seems that this primarily a mystery show, most likely a lighthearted one. I imagine it's romance subtext given the dynmaic between the leads.

1 episode in and I love with Osanai and Kobato's vibe together. Kobato is very dependable, while Osanai is both smart and brave beneath her shy surface. Felt a little uneasy about Kengo getting Kobato involved in find the girl's belongings. The reason for it was someone wanted to make a love confession, but was too afraid to say it to her face. I dig it because kids in high school can be really bashful about their feelings.

Just when everything was going good for our leads, their bike gets stolen and the tarts are destroyed. Kobato had everything on schedule till then. I feel bad for Osanai.
