Essential What Anime are you currently watching?

Watched the first episode of Sngouku Youko. Which is a completed well received manga, which is getting what I assume is a full adaptation by White Fox. Which is their first big project in a good while. First episode looked good visually and the world seems very interesting. I like what I see. Episode did end at an awkward spot for an episode 1. But besides that I thought it was good.

More regarding the episode.

The spirit transformation that both Jinka uses with Tama is interesting. Makes me wonder what effects spirit transformation is used depending on the individual since Jinka seems pretty unique.

Spirit transformation is mention by Tama as "A technique where you harmonize with a katawara's spirit.", so is it implying jinka or Tama is a katawara's spirit I am assuming? Well I assume more info will get explained as this is set for 3 cours.

Shinsuke is kind of our eyes in the early part of the series in terms of discovering the world. His upbringing is a little rough.

You can already see the strong bond between Jinka and Tama. Their backstory will def be interesting on why Jinka is so devoted to Tama. Kind of a weird part to end the episode, but visually it was rock. Looking forward to seeing more of this.

Watched the first episode of Metallic Rouge, which is an anime original by Bones. Pretty solid first episode. Visually it looks great with good animation and the world seems interesting. Few points. There seems to be a hierarchy of humans > neans perhaps or its this person's delusion maybe? The androids called Neams need a source called nectar to operate so that's worth noting. Curious more what the immortal Nine means.

Obviously we need to dig more into the world, but I liked what I saw in this episode. This is something I think @42 Monks and @LordDeathwatch would most likely like.

Haven't even heard about this one prior to this post. I'll definitely give it a look since I'm caught up on Frieren.

Currently doing a Fire Force rewatch and I don't care, I liked this shyt.

shyt is basically if Blade Runner X Kamen Rider had a lovechild.

I kept seeing Takemitchy raise his fist on some ill shyt, I kept thinking it was him winning a fight, Toman winning the fight, something like that.

No, he does that shyt when he sees Mikey come.

He like, “ok Mikey here, imma sit my ass down now.”



I get it, but I’m more pissed about it being hyped up the way it was then you find out it wasn’t anything like that.

If it wasn’t shown in the OP and ED, I would have been totally fine with it.

I want Takemitchy to win man. Breh not tryna block or throw hands at all.

He'll try to throw hands a little, but blocking is nonexistent for him and I don’t understand why.

I know he’s not the strongest, but still.

When you think about it, he could probably be the strongest because he keeps getting back up no matter what, when others couldn’t. All he has to do is block and learn some moves.

I want breh to start blocking and throwing hands!!

Still a great show.

Man Dungeon Meshi is really really good. How it flows with the banter with some well written comedy that has me and at the same time uses that for character development. In ep 2 the main theme each of them have their own strengths and weaknesses and we should look at our strengths in how we work together.

Necessary true. I love Mash too and think it's MID but there are some comedy joints if someone called Mid I would question their opinions. For example Konosuba should be universally praised.

Konosuba is one of the more clever written ones and in that sense you are right. So I get what you are saying. I think comedies like Konosuba and Emmience are series where imo they are always entertaining so in the sense if the joke misses it doesn't hinder it. While something like Mash if the joke fails it suffers much more.

Tbh there is always that one person that will call something mid just to be different.

2nd half of the Urusei Yatsura remake started today and it jumps right where the first half left off. Fun vibes and its always great to see Ataru get karma paid back to him like both times this episode. New OP and ED is below.

Witch and the Beast debuted its ep 1 today. And tbh didn't have high expectations for the adaptation given the studio's track record. But this was a solid first episode. Voice acting sounded great and the art style looked sharp. And it set the tone with witches very well and how a dangerous of a threat they can be.

The manga is a top top notch dark fantasy. The anime won't do the manga justice, but I hope it gets more people into this amazing series. And hopefully the author's health get better to continue it.

This manga covered the first two chapters and adapted it solidly tho the impact at a few moments didn't land as hard I would say.

Voice acting sounded great and the art style looked sharp. And it set the tone with witches very well and how a dangerous of a threat they can be.

The manga is a top top notch dark fantasy. The anime won't do the manga justice, but I hope it gets more people into this amazing series. And hopefully the author's health get better to continue it.

Wow that was such a good episode.

I think I still got the Christmas arc as the best overall, but the season finale was too good.

Definitely enjoyed this anime way more than I thought I would.


Now the dilemma is….

I definitely don't want to read the manga, but I’m feenin to watch more.

That was a hell of a binge, you killed that shyt in record time. I told you it was a fire show, can just throw it on and feast at any time.

Mob is going to change your whole energy.

When you see the level of fukkery, the humor is mostly dry until something just outrageous happens, and the plot lines early on are easily grasped. When you see how he sees one of his classmates friends, breh, I crack up every time.

One thing is for sure: you aren't going to be wondering if this MC can fight.

Well its been on hiatus since last January which turned into indefinite hiatus in March. Not much news on it. Given its been just a year its better for Satake-sensei to get all the rest they need.

Manga is straight crack again japan making us suffer with not translating the novels. Read the webnovel for a bit but it becomes confusing with different story lines in the manga and webnovel.
