Solid first episode for High Card for S2.

So basically this Dark Knight seems to be less a person and more a central force of chaos and really doesn't have an alliance with either faction. The one clue that Finn has that his card was used for an X-hand. The quote by Ban that shyt is about to happen means that shyt will likely hit the fan sooner rather then later.

Theodore continues to be someone I just can't help but feel something is up. There has to be a significant amount os stuff hes hiding.

This was a solid first episode for Tsukimichi S2 to get us caught up to speed from those that haven't watched S1 in awhile. Nice to have the gang back and overall quality very inline to how S1 was with C2C. Given we are running for 2 cours its better if the animation quality stays consistent.

I really like Makoto as a protagonist. He is a good dude and this episode was another sign of it. Tho the irony that his help seemed as help from the goddess. Tho the werewolf kid probably knew it was him but kept it a secret.

Please don't let Mio in the kitchen dear god. Also funny next spring we will have both Mio and Shion in the the spring season. :mjlol:

Syduality: Noir first episode of part 2 picks up where it left off where. It has a fun cast and not much action in this episode but it had good animation for the mecha fights. Curious if this part takes a more serious tone then the first part.

For this episode in particular its cool that Noir and Mystere can switch. Thankfully Mystere soften up by the end of the episode her being that harsh consistency would ruin the chemistry the cast has compared to Noir imo. So odds are Noir isn't a safe mode and Mystere isn't a dangerous-mode. Curious what their origin is.

2 more premiers I watched.

The first is It's time for "Torture" Princess. There is a reason the words torture are in quotes. Its a gag comedy gourmet series. And honestly first episode was very fun. Her reactions to different food is fun. It does have an issue of maybe being repetitive but I liked the episode. The after credits scene which was a gag of the opening scene of her happy the monster showed up early so she can hurry back and game had me :russ: Like Dungeon Meshi I love how they draw the food, but it's definitely not as unique with food like Dungeon Meshi is.

OP is below

The 2nd show was The Foolishes Angel Dances with the Devil. It basically sets up the leads as a Devil and Angel. Hard to make out of it after ep 1 being meh. If its gonna be a banter based rom-com (which I assume focuses the comedy) or one of those weird kinky ones. What I have read about the manga it most likely is the former then latter.

So for Monday what gets me:
  • High Card S2
  • Moonlight Fantasy S2
  • Torture Anime
  • Hokkaido Girls Are Super Adorable; this and Sign of Affection look to be two good slice-of-life/romance animes.

Manga is straight crack :wow: again japan making us suffer with not translating the novels. Read the webnovel for a bit but it becomes confusing with different story lines in the manga and webnovel.

don't sleep on this one, it's a good one

Finished up Jujutsu Kaisen S2 last night. Ending had me like :wtf: :leon:. Overall really enjoyed the season.

Some spoiler thoughts

Almost seemed like the writers felt Gojo was too OP, so they took him off the board for a while

Seeing his best friend back and wondering what happened after just watching the prequel movie :lupe:

Voice actor for Sakuna is really good and you understand why everyone is terrified of him

Hammer girl's death (if she is really gone) hit the hardest, although Nanami had the coolest way to go out

Megumi's dad ghost was putting in work :whew:

Junichi Suwabe (Sukuna) plays villain characters so well. He has killed it as Sukuna and I remember watching Ragna Crimson when Kamui oh hell yes :banderas:. Barou from Blue Lock is another example even for the case for a non villain but intimidating character that he portrays extremely well.

Ben's strategy really was :wow:. Being able to infiltrate the castle and got the enemy thinking they going after the commander. But na they just opening the gates was big brain shyt. Meng's adaptability to see that to get his squad to utilize the opening was real good shyt. Showing Xin he still got ways to go.

Screen_Shot_2024-01-09_at_2.27.21_PM.png

Lowkey Ben sounding like a bytch here. :mjlol:. Why he is so mad that Meng maximized on the opening his squad provided. Thats more props for Meng to be able to realize what he was doing. They literally on the same side :skip:. I get wanting to show off so you can raise your rank in the army.

Man this shyt was powerful. Xin as we have seen from the start has morals that he lives by. And this scene was great at showing the tension between his goals and those morales.

Screen_Shot_2024-01-09_at_2.45.49_PM.png

And this was a pretty shocking surprise where on one hand Xin had his emotions got the best of him. Which he has shown to be in more in control of as of late. It does a great job showcasing that Xin wants to be the worlds greatest general the right way. Tho he is lucky Meng took a liking to him. :pachaha:

Watched the first episode of "Villainess Level 99: I May Be the Hidden Boss but I'm Not the Demon Lord". It's the typical Otome game/Villainess isekai. The first part of the episode did not look especially the CGI given below. It surprisingly went in more depth the Otome game's Mc then you would expect out of a first episode. 2nd half was better focusing on Yumi who is the actual mc.

Mc wants to live in peace, but she is at maxed level when each student's level gets announced. Like the premise, tho if animation gets worse its prob an easy drop to just read the Ln.
