Just watched the 1st episode of season 2. It is honesty such a great show. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be watching a romcom and loving it so much. This anime has so much heart.

It avoids so many of the things that plagues rom-coms, which is a pretty poorly executed genre. Rom-coms in general a lot of times are plagued with poorly written misunderstandings, overused troupes and poor use of self insertion. (The idea of self-insertion isn't bad, but the execution in the genre is horrific)

Bros when I tell you I love this sow
I mean I LOVE THIS SHOW. There's no unnecessary love triangles, or a bunch of girls falling in love with MC for no reason bc he is "nice" to them. It's just 2 kids navigating the awkward phase of their life while falling in love. You end up rooting for both of them. And you can relate and remember being this awkward at that point in life. shyt is a fukking great show regardless of anime genre.

Shangri-La Frontier episode 14 adapted chapters 28+29 very well per usual.

Pencilgon is one scary woman. Her strategy for beating Wethermon is extremely well thought out, but she really is the last person you want to make an enemy out of.

Kind of cool how the game adapted from having Player Killers to the Player "Player Killers".

Finally watched The Dangers in My Heart S2 ep 1 after HiDive had no issues uploading the episode yesterday.

This highlights two main things.

1. It takes off from where S1 ended where what was mentioned it is such a well written season with lost of love and care given to it. Constantly Sakura-sensei rewards the reader and the anime's case the viewer if they pay attention. The big one from S1 was Anna keeping the extra tissues Kyo left for her in the "I hate Yamada episode".
2. This anime excels at both an adaptation and as anime. The reason I say this is that like how the manga is made with love and care, so is this adaptation. It's in the realm of lets say 86, Sousou no Frieren, Apothcary Diaries, etc. This anime isn't simply an adaptation that copies the manga it rearranges things and builds on stuff constantly like it did in S1. This episode highlights on this. And all these changes imo are great and the feeling I get watching the anime is just like my experience reading the series for the first time.

This chapter adapted 58-61 as well as chapter 67.

The rearranging of putting chapter 67 in this episode was a great change as it fit and flowed right into the episode since the chapter itself is episodic in nature. They basically cut out the parts making Adachi seem like a giant pervert which at this point we already know that he is and there is no point including and its better to have the core theme what this chapter represents, which is the dynamic between Anna and Kyo.

Also I love they built on Hara noticing the matching Akita Kentarou that Anna and Kyo have. Then her noticing and make a smug comment when Anna talks about how cute these dogs are was perfect.

Some of these shows are light novel titles that don’t translate well in English

It's more like 95% of these originate WN and LN's. But they are meant to be long since there is so much isekai, romance and Otome generic crap for Light novels that they feel like they have to basically put the premise in the title for it stand out. But more times then not at best these light novel's are entertaining mid at best since the authors themselves aren't confident that their work will standout.

Series like 86, Apothcary Diaries, Spice & Wolf and Overlord are case in point how stupid these long titles are so stupid because if your series is good you don't need some damn long premise title for it to stand out. Let your work do the talking not the title.

I watched the first episode of 7th Time Loop: The Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life Married to Her Worst Enemy!

I was shocked how good visually it looked which you can see below.

Basic premise is the Mc loops time at a certain spot everytime she dies which has as similar pattern. First episode essentially was the introduction on what happened in her first 6 paths/loops and what her 7th loop will be. Which the title gives away. The first episode left a pretty strong first impression.

Mashle continues to be one of the few shows that can make me laugh at random. fukkery is just too strong from the opening to the close.

Unfortunately it just reminds me how long it's been waiting on OPM.

Wasn’t s2 basically a giant letdown? Or so I’ve heard.

Still need to read the manga I’ve seen the art that shyt goes hard
