More of a nice showcase from Yeng. Following the backstory of Xia and him. This is one perfect scenario imo where it shows she carrying out Xia's will of saving a life when that opportunity is in your grasp.

As well as once learning the news of his mother and Lu I love how firm his resolve is. He knows his mother's heart is wicked and he even he acknowledges her heart is still deep in the darkness liked his was before. But as a king he will not put his people in risk just for some false hope for a mother to become as good of a person like Xia.

After enduring 40 episodes in S1 of that awful CGI animation. Anything is better and we getting actually 2d drawings for the art style instead of constantly using that awful CGI for every damn minute like it was in S1

After a rewatch of The Dangers of My Heart S1 also watched the adaptation of twitter shorts that they dropped this week before S2 starts this weekend. These shorts highlight the point why the manga is considered the best ongoing Rom-com and how the anime showcases how it deliver a story of growth and being a great example in storytelling of showing not telling.

Just watched the 1st episode of season 2. It is honesty such a great show. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be watching a romcom and loving it so much. This anime has so much heart.
