Essential What Anime are you currently watching?

Yup. Even with some of the episodic elements with the mystery solving, I still get the vibe that this series was meant for a good time, not a long time.

It's pretty concentrated (which isn't a bad thing by any means). I imagine these 13 eps is the end of s1 then? If so, i'd be surprised if s2 doesn't wrap it all up.

Similar to Bungeo Stray Dogs pacing is very tight and very well done. Biggest thing is that the dialogue highlighted by the voice acting was engrossing to me. It had me engaged constantly. I was actually surprised at the animation quality it was super solid.

I prefer anime like this since I could always read if I want to get the finer details and all that. Poor pacing can ruin any show imo. (Being too fast like a lot of bad light novel adaptations and being too slow, which you see in Popular Battle Shonens)

@LordDeathwatch God damn Bleach went fukking hard for that finale . Like week and the first of the back to back finale episodes was great. But that final episodes holy god damn.

Yhwach stealing and redistributing the Quincy powers as fukked up as it is was foreshadowed at the end of part 1. When Ichigo's mom lost her quicy powers as shown in the flashback.

We got the Back and forth between Squad Zero and Quincy. You think that Squad 0 aint what they hyped to be they and they suddenly went you think this is even a power of one squad . 3 of them kill themselves distributing the power to Senjumaru to use her bankai to fukking eliminate 6 quincy frame 1

We think Yhwach got one over Ichibei then suddenly using the power of the other Shinigami to nail out Yhwach. Ichigo and the boys aint even made it up yet and all of this is happening. Are we about to get a showdown with squad zero .

Yamamoto man this dude was a real one who created a family. He was a true leader Yhwach and Ichibei just be looking at the Shinigami and Quincy under them as tools imo.


Part 2 felt slower then part 1, but imo this finale was more hype. Tho obviously part 1's finale hit harder since it was Ichigo focused. . Part 3 hopefully coming next spring.

Spoiler: Bleach Part 2 Finale

This finale was fukking flames, Squad Zero and Ichibe lived up to their hype. They clearly defeated the Stern Ritters and a sealed Yhwach which forced him to break out the GameShark and reset the game. Pacing, tension, visuals, everything has been on point with these fights.

This finale also solidifies that BLEACH still has the GOAT battle soundtracks in anime. Treachery or Precipice of Defeat hits and you KNOW shyt is about to go up several notches. Soundtrack has no business being this good.

Bleach is showing again that changing to a seasonal run rather then a weekly offers a MUCH higher quality in terms of content. Arrancar arc noticeably dragged until the final stretch as a clear example to give compared to TYBW. Until Boruto and One Piece make that change I aint touching those anime.

I have read the first 7 volumes so far of the manga and if this animation holds this show will be great and it will be doing the manga justice since it is great. It didn't even adapted all of chapter 1 surprisingly.

Dark Gathering finished adapted ch. 15 as well as fullt adapting ch. 16 for ep 13. Nice episode really showing the horror is starting to be more intense episode by episode like it is the manga. This was a nice appetizer before the S Rank spot starts next week

One big thing for this episode is that it added an origin story for the Graduate that they picked up, which is a great addition.

Tried 3 seasonals.

First was Overtake! which is an anime original racing anime. It actually offered a good explanation for most of the terms if you aren't familiar. Animation looked good. Def looks like a solid original. Interested if the reporter or the racer is the focus going to be mainly on.

2nd was "The Family Circumstances of the Irregular Witch". SoL Fantasy show. With a very good cast of VA's and animation looks good, so if you like SoL shows this looks to be a fun one.

Last one was Berserk of Gluttony. Has a lot of signs of being generic given the Mc has an OP skill with the drawback he is forced to stay at level 1. Animation was good enough to stick with it.
