The last 3 episodes especially the final episode wasn't the greatest. I give you that. But that lead up to the invasion. And the merking she did. That was fantastic.

Part 1 did a solid job settings things up but anything in part 2 revolving around anybody but those 3 was

3 episodes in a rewatch for Emmience in Shadow. These episodes were a lot better then I remembered.
Alpha's involvement in S1 is erratic, but this is one thing is probably only noticeable on a rewatch. While the plot itself aint the draw it seems he does a solid job foreshadowing stuff where lets be honest he could just go 100% on the comedy and parody and people would still love this series.
This episode was much more hilarious then I remember watching. I didn't realize first time watching it that the episode was parodying all those generic shytty romance light novel series and protagonists. (As well as a lot of isekai ones but thats pretty obvious imo) Also the dog coin scene was great cringe fukkery.
Honestly the biggest issue with this anime is the audience realizing what is being parodied. Cause that can elevate an episode like episode 3.
