Finished Death Note. I enjoyed it. Really good show. Probably up there near the top of the anime I've seen. I thought they ended it pretty well. Didn't like the lack of Ryuk in the 2nd half. He was my favorite character.

Death Note was afraid to end the way it should have ended. Fictional stories seem to have this obsession with the bad guy or antagonist losing in the end. Part of my respect for the series Gundam IBO was it was unafraid to end in a way people you as the viewer were not supposed to like or root for won. Death Note should have let the bad guy win or at least go out respectably.

Good show, the slow second half prevented it from being great though in my opinion.

got 6 episodes left in the current season - trying to space them out until July

Hell's Paradise essentially wrapped up Vol 2 with a few things that will start at the next episode. They did a really good in this episode showing that Sagiri wants to walk her own path. Be as strong as a man, but as kind as a woman. This is important as her development is very very important. Per usual we getting a faithful adaptation. Animation wise it did feel weird I would say not exactly bad. Hopefully its a case they want to put more an effort in the fights that will wrap this season since it looks likely the adaptation of stop at the beginning of vol 5.
