I got to admire that dude he had a goal and wasn't gonna stop until he completed it. Now look at his reward. There is a lesson to learn from this.

I used to be averse to manga a long time ago, but now I make sure I read the manga first. I think Vagabond changed my way of thinking. Even still, I get excited seeing certain scenes animated that I read in the manga.Damn, Soul Eater doesn’t follow the manga like that? Why do they keep doing this with animes!? I don’t read manga!
Just saw it. I'm legit pissed at what happenedSummer Time Rendering is so dope. This last episode
I'm glad I read manga cause imagine waiting to see My hero turn to trash season by season.
I’m not saying I’m against reading manga, I just didn’t grow up that way. All I had was the anime. I’d rather watch than read because you get so much more, like animation, music, etc.Anime is mostly a promotional tool for manga, light novels, and video games. They'll make an anime of something that's still in progress to drum up interest in the source material. It'll get a season if it's lucky and that's it. Probably 80% of the anime made that's based off another ongoing form of media will never reach any sort of meaningful conclusion.
Your aversion to reading manga means you'll typically get the worst version of any given story or an incomplete version of the story. You'll also be constantly kept in suspense of a story continuing or not.
Idk man, don’t you think that takes up too much time to watch the anime and read the manga? Maybe it is for me because I’m catching up with things instead of watching and reading it weekly when they first came out.I used to be averse to manga a long time ago, but now I make sure I read the manga first. Are they short? That depends entirely on the writer. There are some guys who tend to have a lot of splash pages where there's just huge pics that take up most of an issue with minimal text. Others are more dense, text heavy to explain specific events. As I'm sure you can imagine, there are those that are a mix of both. You're generally not going to find a manga that's shorter than the anime.I’m not saying I’m against reading manga, I just didn’t grow up that way. All I had was the anime. It’s like I’m being forced to read the manga to get the real story lmao. It makes watching the anime feel pointless.
I guess it’s a smart strategy to not really show the full story in an anime to force people to buy the manga.
Are mangas short at least ?
I used to read manga back when Naruto and Bleach were still ongoing but I stopped for a long time. I'm back to reading it now. Get a good tablet and an app like Paperback on iOS or Tachiyomi on Android and it's easy to set up shop and read anything. Once you get caught up Manga Plus is an option. Shonen Jump is also $2 a month which I pay just to support the cause. What is the aversion to reading manga? shyt for me thanks to manga its gotten me back into reading in general.
Mangas are quick reads. It only becomes long when you've got hundreds of chapters to catch up on. I just got tired of watching all these shows and getting a single season then being abandoned. Once I started asking well where does the story go from here I just gravitated towards reading the manga or light novel. If it's something like 86 I'll watch the whole season but for the typical anime I just pick over it and watch my favorite moments animated if I'm reading the source.Idk man, don’t you think that takes up too much time to watch the anime and read the manga? That Big-O in ya avi right? I was just thinking of that song a few other days ago.
Haven’t watched it like that, but remember it from Toonami.
Big-O, Big-O, Big-O, Big-O
shyt was low-key flames
Idk breh, watching and reading the manga seems kinda OD for me. But that’s probably because I’m not watching things on a weekly released basis. Are they short? That depends entirely on the writer. I'm going to leave it there before I have to run the fade with @LauderdaleBoss @Obreh Winfrey @Bryan Danielson & the rest of #NoReadGang.
See now, I understand that side of things when the anime isn’t finished.Mangas are quick reads. It only becomes long when you've got hundreds of chapters to catch up on. Also I have an e-reader I'll take to the gym and a small tablet and read while I'm on the treadmill. Take them to work and read on break or lunch or when I get down time. I've also used my cell phone at times.
It's like Game of Thrones. Somebody else took another guy's work and used it to make a show based off it. At some point they even stopped consulting him and it went off the rails. I mean they bought the rights to use the original work as a base. If the director or screen writer doesn't like a decision the author made they can do as they see fit. If a person wants something completely faithful to the original work then the original work already exist. An anime can't animate everything from that anyway.See now, I understand that side of things when the anime isn’t finished.
But when I hear online that an anime is so different from a manga, it’s kinda like, should I even waste my time watching this?
I’ll still watch it if I like it though and maybe I’ll read the manga of it someday.
I still think they should at least keep the anime story somewhat close to the manga though.
