It took me a while to get into kingdom originally, I admit that the animation can be a drag, but once you get past episode 10 Kingdom is actually one of the better anime's out there if you into strategy and espionage. It's like games of thrones in ancient china. You just got the drag thru the firt 10 episodes or so.

I really enjoyed this one though. The only thing I kind of didn't like was how the relationshp between Mashiro and Kanda seemed to get less focus later on compared to Kanda and Nanami's relationship in the second half of the show. I think another season would work as the characters still seem to be close geographically speaking.
Now on to Golden Time..
I think my favorite character was Misaki and Mashiro. Mashiro seemed to have gotten pushed to the side for a good 5-6 episodes with Kanda chasing Nanami at a glance.
