In the beginning of Waltz for Venus, Spike cashes in a bounty for 1.5 million woolongs.

I never remembered them earning money in the show because they're so poor.

but he probably gave up that money to pay for Stella's surgery at the end of the episode. Nowhere does the show tell you this, but I think its implied.

At the end Jamming With Edward, Spike has that famous line about how he hates three things - kids, animals, women with attitude. Why are all three nealty gathered in our ship.

Fast Forward to episode 24 when all of them are missing, Ein and Ed for good. He and Jet are sullen. That was their surrogate family.

It's a frustratingly annoying show. The main character is a simp to an escort. Even as he gains viable options besides that escort that fact remains. The plot doesn't really advance beyond that.

Run of the mill harem show where the MC can't get his head out of his ass.

Masamune Kun's revenge comes to mind.

To me that show was more entertaining than Rent-A-Girlfriend is. This one started out decent but the two mains haven't really developed anything and the male main becomes more and more pathetic as the episodes continue.

Just off the main character alone Masamune-Jun beats this show.

It was a great show but this genre has a way of floundering to keep the action and tension around the initial concept. Ultimately it tires me out.

If this show doesn't get going with the protagonists to reset itself into that cycle I won't bother with it.

What was that show called where two students started dating each other because they couldn't date their teachers?

Kuzu no Honkai.

I thought it was a great show. Very different from the usual lazy format in anime romance.
