monster doctor seems like a rip off of monster musume. but its different in ways that could be viewed as positive
MC is an even-keeled, confident, genius medical practitioner. not an easily flustered kid whose only redeeming quality is being nice.
the episodes have a conflict and resolution whereas musume spiraled in every which direction because the initiative was harem comedy
the fanservice is less bold. More emphasis on the contained story, character issues and the lore of whatever setting they happen to be inhabiting. Though there's still enough of it to label it as an ecchi.
it doesn't excel at any single thing unlike Musume. probably won't sell many BD because of that. but, it's an ok watch if interested in the genre
