Disappointing, but when Chad was out here talking about how they'd make beats, and he'd go back and fix the drums because Pharrell wasn't good at it, it was obvious that it would eventually end up like this.
Actuallly I don't know the details, but from what I read, Pharell quickly trademarked it to keep others from doing it and then offered Chad his 50% share. That's what I got from reading it
Chad did not look or sound right in a semi recent interview I saw him in. Not saying P isn't guilty but I can see Chad being mentally gone too:
With the 20th Anniversary of Fly or Die just passing
Shay somewhere rolling in his grave
ITS OVER
LEAVE IT
The Neptunes have produced songs as a duo in the past few years. Pusha T's last album had Neptunes beats and it wasn't just Pharrell.
Signs of high anxiety and potential functioning autism
Shay died?
Good question...what the Fck a Chad beat sound like?My thing is, we know what Pharrell has done the past decade plus.
What has Chad produced or put out?
I've heard artists talk about Pharrell making a beat right in front of them and doing the song by himself
And from album credits, he's not crediting the "Neptunes" name. So what is Chad filing for?
Is it a case where he's saying that anything Pharrell does he has a right to?
Mike Elizondo is more of a session player though. Most of his credits outside of what he did with Dre is playing bass. He did work for Fiona Apple prior to working with Dre. Same with Mark Batson. Before Dre, he was like a member of the Dave Matthews Band as their keyboardist. They aren't sought after like that and only work with a select grouo or artists.
