:dahell:

Weighted dips and pushups are far better for building up the chest. Plus they have the added benefit of strengthing up your core as well.

Quite a simply non-factual response.

Pressing upwards against a weight resistance recruits, damages more and stimulates more muscle fibres than pushing upwards with your bodyweight. The fact you cannot get a pump with these new age hippie internet guru nonsense known as calisthenics speaks volumes. If calisthenics built more muscle mass and more strength than majority of bodybuilders would work out this way. I’m guessing Serge Nubret, Arnold, Lee Haney, Jay Cutler and Ronnie missed the memo. The greatest aesthetic figures, musculature and muscular size were ALL conducted under the premise of hypertrophy training aka bodybuilding aka high reps with TUT. Everyone has it wrong but the vegan callisthenic crew:mjlol:

I'm done with this nonsense, :russ:

Any videos in here of brehs benching considerbale weight and/or doing 15+ REAL pull-ups? I remember years ago there was a pull-up challenge with real verifiable videos of brehs doing them.

I sense a lot of capping in here

Unless they have been progressively overloading their bench press... no absolutely not.

If you want to get better at bench press... you bench press. You could do 300 pushups a day for a month and your bench may not move more than 3%

By the way, this is true for the guy repping 175lbs on bench constantly. If you want to increase your max anything... you progressively overload. This is how you become stronger. Its not a secret, its not rocket science. You must overload to reach higher heights

Your muscle endurance will be amazing though
Flat bench is overrated.

I'll say It again..

Incline bench>flat bench

nyc park work just one of countless examples

it's a cultural traditional element at this point

you grow up hooping & naturally get on the bars here & there

then as your legs go you drift more & more to the bars ha

it's mad oldheads out there getting money & passing gems to the pups

it's all about personal preference

the bar will cut you up like dope more than anything else

but if you want that swole muscle-bound look you gonna have to touch iron in the gym

You’re forgetting about all the steroids many of those that took as well.

Bodyweight training provides more functional muscle then bodybuilding. If you want to talk about some hybrid workouts with you doing bodyweight exercises with weights as well then OK. But bodybuilding is very much overrated.

Those guys all used steroids. We talking bout how to build muscle naturally. Taking advice from steroid users is why the fitness industry is so fukked up and most people never get any results following their guidance.

You could sit at home in front of the TV eating pizza and if you're on steroids, you'll build more muscle than a guy who is natural and busting his ass in the gym everyday. Steroids are a cheat code and trying to get advice on building muscle from anybody who takes them is a waste of time.

There is a reason you never see guys who do calisthenics having that roided up look a lot of body builders have. Its not because calisthenics is inferior to weight lifting when it comes to building muscle. Its because most of the guys lifting weights are using steroids and its the steroids that is giving them those unnatural results.
