What's underrated in this though, is the defense of Dame and CJ. They are average defensively, which is a big improvement given how terrible they once were.

Y'all just let the media promote it like it's a D'antoni made some secret formula.

Most basketball teams have a bunch of 6'6 to 6'8 dudes that can defend a little and short the corner 3 and will never see the ball and 2 or 3 guys that can play create their own shot. The only thing original about how D'antoni runs his system is how slow they play and how they maximize points per shot and points per possession through playing slow as fukk. They aren't an up and down team.

Other than, there's nothing special about them. Most teams don't emphasize shooting midrange pull ups because it's hard to do and it's a contested shot. Most teams prefer 3s, dunks and layups. None of this is esoteric. This shyt is things that basketball teams figured out in the in like 2006.

Most people just don't recognize what they are watching because they are super casuals.

The Bucks have the exact same style as the Rockets, the defense is, they have Giannis who is a monster on the break. But watch their half court offense, the shyt is Rockets esque. Spam pick and rolls for match ups and then iso. The only player that shoot midrange shots on the Bucks is Middleton.

The Nets play like the Rockets, spam pick and rolls with their guards for advantages and then exploit them. Only guy that shoots midrange shots on the Nets is D'Russ.

Nothing the Rockets do is extreme or out the ordinary, they just better at it because they got James Harden.
