I wonder, assuming GB doesn't hire him, will Payton let Nielsen call the defense in 2022 and kick Allen to the curb.
Man... I'm really weary about a Dline coach making coverage calls. Probably a good move to have a Secondary coach be a former play caller.

Agreed but there's too much smoke with Nielsen.
There's definitely a reason why he's the only coach Payton went above and beyond to keep and yet he's STILL getting teams trying to poach him.
I don't want some situation where he ends up being a top tier D coordinator and we're making "we let Nielsen go and kept DA
" posts two years from now.
