Austin and Portland not too far behind. Other cities bus their homeless to Austin because Austin gives em shyt and allows em to sit downtown and use whatever that cheap drug is til they OD, then have the firefighters downtown take em to the hospital and take care of em for free, then allow them to sleep and sit downtown again and repeat the cycle. Downtown Austin is fukking disgusting. Has areas looking like a vagrants Woodstock tent city. Brother in law is a firefighter in downtown Austin. Spends his whole day dealing with those junkies who are diseased and high giving him grief while trying to help. Whole station has to get TB shots and take meds because it’s so disease ridden and the city does absolutely nothing about it

The homeless problem and the housing problem in SF if because of the politicians, not the companies....

When they have strict laws and regulations that prevent builders from building taller apt building and it takes years to get approved due to tight regulations then housing shortages will exist....

When the government provides cell phones and free needles for homless, people will TRAVEL TO SF to be homeless....

When the police get top down orders to not arrest drug users off the street, you have a open air drug market...

This is ALL politcal...

its like the typhus outbreak in downtown la. until that shyt begins to seriously effect those with money, its out of sight, out of mind, as they push the homeless situation further south
